It would be interesting to know what Diarra felt about being played at right back regularly.

Surely a large part of him will be thinking that it is great to be playing regularly irrespective of where it is on the pitch but there may be a litle bit of him that will evenetually begin to wonder if it is the best thing for his long term career to be playing out of position on a consistent basis (unless of course he becoes one of those players whose natural position changes and he ends up being a right back rather than a defensive midfielder)

There was in profile in a recent Match programme - he basically said he would play anywhere to keep his place - good attitude

And the correct attitude. Players, all players, should be willing to play out of position every now and again. The younger players more than the established first team players. I have to admit that on first impressions I was not overly impresed with the mini maka, but the young lad has made a believer out of me.

All credit to him and the coaching staff and to J.M. for giving the lad a chance.

"Mr. Mourinho, do you know I feel myself much more comfortable playing in the centre of the park neither on a flank...."

After Drogba, Diarra was my MOTM yesterday. He was brilliant. Can't quite believe how The S*n gave him a 5 in the paper today - they were obviously watching a different game to me.He offers us so much more at right back than Geremi and his composure on the ball for one so young is astounding. I'd keep playing him right back for now but he definitely looks like the long term replacement for Maka and I think he has more to his game too.
My close MOM as well.

Another accomplished performance. The Sun's ratings are always way off the mark.

I think the only things they do get right in that paper are the dates, and page numbers. (Page 3 is normally spot on too).
