Leo Castledine

Great achievment for him but I'm a bit flat on Castledine. I haven't seen anything about him that makes me immediately impressed, and at 19 he is aging a bit for youth football. Players like Mount, Gallagher, Hall, Gilmour - even ones like Lewis Bate - all really stood out at u-18 level as 16 and 17 year olds.

Can see him having a decent lower leagues career along the lines of Lewis Baker, Kasey Palmer etc etc ... Harvey Vale and Tino Anjorin probably walking a similar path as well.

 
Turns out he is the brother of the girl who plays Penny in Eastenders.

Has scored some absolute bangers on loan this season - well worth watching the highlights below if you like quality goals !

Watching that highlights reel, he does look a decent player and hopefully we'll get a nice windfall if he does well with the smog-monsters and gets a move to.... erm, the sort of team who'd pay 20 or 30 million for him. Was going to say West Ham, but they might be in the Southern Premier league soon. Palace maybe?

Presumably they inserted a sell-on % clause.

Been keeping an eye on him. Injury has kept him out, returned on the bench yesterday. Came on with 8 minutes left, a couple of nice touches. They're a very good team at Championship level with plenty of attacking talent. Interesting to see if he can step up.

 
Came off the bench today -v- Bristol City, scored a well-taken goal. A poor touch killed off either a second goal or a pass to someone else to score. Middlesborough are fun to watch, better value than Coventry, but oh so wasteful.

 
Can't take a trick. Injured himself (again) during the international break.
