Manchester City vs Chelsea (PL) Sat 17th February 2024 17:30 GMT

Attacker sub are fine, they were gassed.

The better question why is he bringing casedei and Chalobah instead of Madueke n mudryk? 😁😁
I could almost have understood Casedi for Palmer, would have been extra body in midfield and with ability to get forward but Chalobah was wrong, plain wrong. Sent the wrong signal and was at this point in time the wrong person. And yes Madueke would also have been useful instead of Palmer, his strength was what was required.

Equally Jackson does have the legs. He could have gone central and Nkunku to left wing. Nkunku cannot be as unfit as  he looked. Either still injured or something else going on.

It is actually very simple. You need to bring in sub for your 3 attackers.

You can't bring Mudryk n Madueke because those two are 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Now who do you bring in?

Had Nkunku been effectual, we would have had the out required. If Poch knew what he'd get from Nkunku, Madueke or Mudryk would have done.

Pep responded to Poches proud of the team and how we played with a "if he wants to think that, congratulations ".

He also questioned why we were so unmotivated (aka sh*t) at anfield but turned up to give them a game.

Arrived back from the UK on Saturday evening, the game was on while in mid-flight so managed to catch the full game on CFC web site.

Overall a good performance and a few outstanding games by our defenders and midfield.  But boy oh boy our attackers missed numerous good chances, especially in the first half.  Jackson has got two left feet which he cannot coordinate, perhaps taking up ballroom dancing might help him out; and Sterling, despite a well taken goal has become indifferent at times.    I felt the subs were a bit strange TBH, especially bringing Chalobah on.  Nkanku for Sterling was OK but as many have stated on here by removing Palmer more or less made us withdraw and allow City the freedom to do as they please.

A solid performance if it can be captured next Sunday, will at least make the Final entertaining as opposed to a one way traffic with our defenders pushing back the red tide.

In defence of the Casadei sub, we started hitting clearances/long balls to him and I think he won pretty much every header he went up for. Looked a bit skittish with the ball at his feet but I think he did the job he was sent on to do pretty well.

I see some City fans are pissed at Sterling,  saying no longer a legend etc, yet on the flipside were booing Palmer too!

Interesting graphic picked up from fb
