Hutch came over as such a nice bloke. He looked pretty well back then, but it wasn't that long before his very sad and very premature death.
I remember him featuring in a documentary - maybe a World in Action show - about the use of cortisone injections in football. They had a dressing room full of ex-players from the 60s and 70s who were practically crippled, due to playing with serious injuries masked by cortisone. Hutch's knees didn't even look like knees, they were so knackered. His career was totally wrecked by injuries.
I remember him being described as the bravest player ever. Not sure if it was the bravest Chelsea player ever, but he certainly played his heart out for us.
