I was on that train from liverpool street to bruce grove...Any station we stopped at spuds did nothing...On the Bruce grove to WHL walk  one had the usual chaps on the oppo side of the road closer to the ground..There was one spu that came to this group from the side railings and offered any trailing blues out but plod moved him on..The pld kept chelsea outside the ground till 5 mins into the match..There wasnt hundreds..more like 150...Unless another mob did the same thing of course

Fair do's mate i was told about it at half time by a certain face at ours who never bullsh*ts.

Yes I remember the League cup game at Tottenham....It was the night that the first Gulf War broke out.Yes a great display from Chelsea. We were in the seats above the Shelf...loosely gathered...around 100 Chelsea. There was no trouble throughout the game, however,at full time...their chaps made an appearance from one of the exits. They meant business too...the overwhelming majority of the Chelsea fans scattered across the seats...around 10 of us remained to confront them...as they kept piling through the exit.Punches were thrown between those Tottenham that had made it into the stands and the few of us that remained.I remember the police arriving to shepherd them away...they just ignored us lot.If the full amount of them got through....we would undoubtedly have been smashed. On the note of scariest grounds....The cup replay at Wigan...around 85,when I witnessed trouble throughout the whole day...non-stop.After the game....both mobs were on either side of the road going at it in the dark.Ickys mob arrived from somewhere in the darkness to inject a note of chaos into proceedings.Chelsea carried the day...

Apparently they was fooled into believing they was taking part in the pilot show of When Muppets Attack.

any ground is the scariest ground if one is in the wrong place at the wrong time.......having been to multiple grounds multiple times i found ease most of the time if following Harkins or Hickmot....pure fun that maybe vikings felt as they stealthly roved about...these guys made one feel invincible whether one was tough or not..i was never tough, but these mobs brought out a wildness i felt at ease to use...trust was tantamount...other times being chased around and having to adapt to the alien surroundings for survival of pain and fear when in other group scenarios....for all the hundreds of great times ive experienced ill remember too the times of locking ourselves in a cinema in moss side....legging it onto a pitch to survive.....finding oneself in the middle of home fans (away from home) and hoping to get out alive....being cornered by spam in alien streets...scouse at lpool demanding my rings.....slashed neck v millwall.....i wouldnt swap any of these memories for anything...i selfishly would swap our now years to be back to an age of around18 in 1973 when i loved getting up to follow the blues around britain....now.. im old. lazy...versus stoke and teams of that ilk do nothing for my excitement control.....spurs home / away some years.....spam at ours...cup finals or dodgy cup matches say against millwall type teams are the only matches that really make my heart beat...i can never feel comfortable with these times...everything precious in footy to me disappeared when seats came in....ill be blue till i die....they have my flag to put on the coffin..my shirt to wear too....ill still go but it died for me a long long while ago

wasnt at millwall it was against millwall when we played em at the bridge in ?  84 85 ?..night match.....left ten mins from end to get home to walthamstow to watch boxing.....happened outside the ground....ken bates sent me 2 directors box tickets

I dont recall the match i was at with them all around the ground...I do remember them being the first to go into gate 13..I cried actually watching this event from the shed....They certainly wernt in the shed that day..I think it was an fa cup match

Blimey not good mate. That wasn't the league cup game where we played home and away and bobby Isaac the youth player was slashed outside the Den? I'm sure I was at the bridge for the home game and yeah fighting in gate 13 and i'm sure the west also. After the game it was kicking off on the Fulham road and we were being attacked while standing behind the old bill, bloody nutters all over the place, not for the faint hearted!

Even though I wouldn't admit it at the time or for years afterwards the most scariest time at a ground for me was Millwall 1976 lucky I was with the second lot in with B and the boys from Fulham,  the rest of us from Lewisham, Slough boys and a few other odds and sods mainly a coach load from Bletchley we met in Swan pub in Lee High Road and walked to Lewisham Station and got a train to New Cross got off the train there  about half 2 to walk to the Den bit of a scuffle outside the New Cross Inn only to find Rumpole Plummy and few others drinking in there we joined up and continued to the ground meeting up with others who were running away saying "don't go in there we're getting battered". Got in the CBL at the back in the middle by the bar and steamed in we caught them by surprise they ran at first most of their mob was up the ilderton Road end finishing of the remnants of the first wave held our for most of the game but was a bit hairy afterwards as we got split up

Millwall 76, the only game that I have been to and seen a mass of bodies grappling, rolling around on the terrace floor punching etc. On the terrace near that concrete bit near the the middle of the CBL.

I got segregated and stuck in the top corner near the fence segregating the half way side. Quite an experience that day both sets of fans with blue and white bar scarfs on.
