Chelsea closing in on Kakuta and Ivanovic contracts

Good news. If we lose either of them for nothing it would be a pretty crushing blow. Even if they mean to leave, and we are just getting improving our chances of getting a fee for them, thats better than nothing.

Did Bosingwa ever extend?

I really hope we hang onto both Ivanovic and Kakuta, as I see both of them being an integral part of our current first XI's natural successor.

Both are excellent, have great attitudes, and have the potential to get even better and be among the best in the world in their respective positions. Sign them up!

Kakuta's a done deal. Now please secure Ivanovic and I'll consider this to be a successful week regardless of what happens in the next few games.

According to the Mail, Kakuta is set to go to Fulham on loan for the rest of the season. If true (and I emphasise IF) then surely it can only mean we expect to sign another forward within the next 10 days.

You'd better hope so, it would be ridiculous to take away what little squad depth we have now.

But again, I have doubts we'll be active in the transfer market at all, especially bringing in players.

I would love to see him get more oppurtunities at Chelsea, but I'm not opposed to seeing him go on loan. BUT, he has to get playing time. If he goes out on loan and gets 10 mins here and there, whats the point?

If thats what happens, I would be so damn happy.

Its obvious Gael needs a run of games to find himself, yet whenever he plays for us he looks nervous as hell. The anti-josh. Eventhought he clearly has just as much potential.

A good team like Fulham, even if they are relegation strugglers, will be great for him. Sparky seems to have them playing the same open style Roy did.

Just as long as they hang on to him (after everything we've been through getting him) and don't do a Stoch...

Great new about Kakuta.

He needs first team experience!

This loan is good news if and only if it's entirely clear that there is no buyout option even conceivable and he comes back into the first team for next season.

im never going to understand why we need to send him out for experienece surely wth our international pedigree at the club he would learn more and progress more play the lad i know i say this alot but i just dont understand how other teams can succesfuly intergrate youngsters and we seem not too

everyone says on here that kakuta has not impressed them this season but when have we given him a chance ? we are just robing ourselfs

We currently cant afford to integrate him in, we need to win games. Sending him on loan (as many clubs have done with players who went on to be top players for them) is a good idea, gives him a chance to play without the pressure heaped on him at Chelsea.

Well when he gets the odd game here and there for us he tries too hard to impress, if he had half a season of first team action at Fulham, he'd get experience playing in the PL and hopefully it would do his confidence some good, so that when he comes back he won't necessarily be trying so hard to impress and he can just carry on where he left of.

i totaly disagree this is the time to interhrate him with so many players off form they should be dropped and let him loose he hasnt had a fair crack at it none of our youngsters are

we have depth if we just have the balls to youse it
