A Chat with the Rivals - Southampton fans

[omnidroid70]

As many of you may have seen an Everton fan came on here and asked us some good questions before the match yesterday. It resulted in a good discussion so we're testing it out on Southampton fans ahead of the FA cup game at the weekend. The questions are quite similar to the ones asked by the Everton fan and I'll post their answers to the questions in the next few days.

1. How do you think Southampton have fared this season?

2. Obviously you won't be delighted with being in the relegation zone but do you think you deserve to be where you are?

3. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to Chelsea?

4. Who would you say has been your best player so far and why?

5. Are there any players that haven't been getting the praise they deserve this season?

6. Do you think Nigel Adkins is doing a good job and do you think you will stay in the Premier League this season?

7. What would you say your chances are in the FA Cup?

8. Where do you think you'll finish this season?

9. Moving on to Chelsea... How do you think we have fared this season?

10. Do you believe we are overachieving or underachieving in our current 3rd position?

11. Who do you think will be the biggest threat to your Southampton team in the upcoming game?

12. What is your opinion of Juan Mata and what do you make of the form he has been on recently?

13. Where do you think Chelsea will finish come the end of the season?

14. Finally, predictions for the game?

Great idea, thanks for putting the effort in. If this is something you'd do for each game that would be awesome

No problem! I'll do it for as many as I can.

[Adam]

Good effort Omnidroid, so far so good, although I'd imagine not all sets of fans will be quite as welcoming

[Rafael Benitez]

I'll be happy to do this ahead of Chelsea's visit to Anfield in April.

I'll apologise in advance for the amount of times I refer to Rodgers, Pascoe, Gerrard, Carragher or that overrated little twat Raheem Sterling as c**ts!

[bluedave]

Some interesting answers already. They seem to consider Torres more of a threat than we do.

Would just like to say something at this point;

1. I have absolutely no idea why you are here.

2. I have read most of your posts and don't believe for one moment you are a Liverpoo fan.

There. Glad I got that off my chest.

I don't mind. I'll get my cronies (other members of the forum) to join in if things get ugly.

Southampton fans have been really friendly so far. Pleasantly surprised!

[JoeyN]

Always love the opinions of another team. We dominate the FA cup, and I expect no different this year.

You've got a point, I do have a considerable amount of anger and hate for what's happening at Liverpool at present, and for the last 3 years for that matter.

and...

I'm on here because of that man in my picture, simple really.  I want him to win every trophy he's involved in this season, and if that means Chelsea winning the quadruple then that's fine by me.

Hope that's answered your query and you feel better now you've got it off your chest.

You are one strange "fan" if thats what you are.

Nobody could have any more respect or affection for a Manager than some of us do for Di Matteo but will I or any of us follow him to his next Team and join the clubs forum to post about him? or to slag off our own players? no because we are Chelsea fans and support the players even when a man a lot of us detest is brought in we are hardly likely to go and tell fans of Robbies next team about our plight.

You are obviously just on a wind up and likely support Tottenham, I've known a couple of Liverpool fans in my time and although they've got some of the worst whinging whiners I've known as fans, they still wouldn't get on an opposition forum and slag the players off... slagging the manager, debating players attributes maybe but still then, not on a Forum of another Club.

The worst thing about all the rubbish you spout about the Interim is that Avatar of yours, I have to have the remote in my hand so I don't watch him in interviews, then I turn on here, skip over your ramblings but still see it out the corner of my eye.

If thats as much as you can wind us up you'll understand why I'm just really telling you You're wasting Your time.

Firstly, it's not my intention to wind anyone up, it serves no purpose.

Secondly, if I was going to, do you not think I'd either be a little bit more imaginative and spend my time spouting the usual sh*te about no history, 5 European Cups, your Captain's mother and our vice-captain's (spits) father blah blah blah?!

I came on here out of curiosity to see what you thought of Rafa, chipped in a few points about him, your team and that I wished Rafa (and as a result, Chelsea) well this coming season.  I'm not arsed if you hate him, I couldn't give a f**k if you spend the next 5 months calling him every c**t under the sun, that's your call.  I've never once tried to convince any of you to like him, love him or do anything other than hate him.  In fact, I totally understand why you hate him and respect you lot for having the balls to be that vocal about it.  Shame our lot took 6 months to do it under Hodgson, but we're all about "respect" you see...when it suits anyway.

As for being a Liverpool fan, well imagine someone coming in and stripping Chelsea of everything that you identify with being Chelsea...then see how loyal you are to an entity that you don't recognise.  Maybe then, if it happens, you'll understand the level of hate.

I understand feeling bitter towards the Club (if you are a Pool fan) I feel bitter towards the owner and his cohorts here, we've lost another good Manager, Drogba for me was let go a year early because we pander to the owners favourite, Lampard Cole and soon Terry will likely leave because of a self inflicted age and contract policy and the fans of the club are divided over the appointment of the idiot you have so much respect for.

Still I wouldn't go and tell other fans about it and if You are a Liverpool fan, why don't you go on your own Forums and whine to each other?

I'd be a little more inclined to believe in your sincerity - and to accept Brandinho's explanation that you were in fact referring to someone else in this thread if it wasn't for your choice of username and avatar, knowing exactly how sensitive an issue the appointment of the interim manager actually is.

Your username alone is a windup, your avatar likewise.

[That Boy Brandinho]

Get Adblock, my friend. It's free and then you can click on the FSW and make him go away. It's just a shame such a program doesn't exist to make him disappear from the touchline.

I get your point, and to be fair the username was more to do with the fact I bum Rafa (not literally) and the avatar just seemed the next logical step.

I'll change it to something less contentious, like a close up of just how far Garcia put the ball over the line!

Nah, in all seriousness I don't want to come on here and make it sh*te or any less enjoyable for anyone, initially it was just out of curiosity and then chipped in on a few conversations.  If I've outstayed my welcome, I'm more than happy to say farewell and bow out.

Ok, this is getting a little over the top; the same conversation and the same issues are now spread over several threads. So I'm now going to bounce you back to this thread.

[Davey Baby]

OK cheerio then.

What just said ..

And don't let the door slap your arse on the way out.
