"Kalou: 7 - Timed his run to perfection for his side's opening goal and was a menace down the right. The less said about his mohawk the better..."

Interesting...

Can't be too bad if he played out the rest of the match. The guardian's minute by minute said they'd never seen anyone so distressed about injuring an opponent as Drogba was. Good to see the big guy still has his eye on the ball.

He only stayed out there because they had used all their subs. He was a long, long way from making any kind of contribution.

Breaking news just now on Talkscouse: Essien taken to hospital. Apparently football related.

Sounds very grim for us, and him.

I hate reports like that. F*ck Ghana, when will he be fit again for Chelsea?

Kalou has scored for the Elephants - bloody Kalou!! They're currently 1-1 against Algeria. Come on Algeria!! Need to ensure the Drogs is back for Arsenal.

2-1 for Ivory Coast and what a goal! Keita scored the best goal of the tournament. Absolutely beautiful.

Algeria has been better, but Ivory Coast scored the goals.

And as I'm writing this Algeria scores to make it 2-2.

Keita scored with a minute to go and Algeria scored in the 92nd minute. Amazing.

BBC Sport says it goes to penalties...

With 2 Chelsea players in the squad - Algeria have got to be favourites for a penalty shoot out!

I think it's 2x15 minutes first.

Also, Kalou has gone off so there's only one Chelsea player left. Not good for Ivory Coast, but it could be worse :)

Oh my Lordy...

I want Drogba to win the ACON, but I want us to win the League more! Nico has been fantastic, but Drogba is needed for Arsenal.

15 mins of extra time left against algeria and ivory coast trail 3-2...sorry didier, i'm cheering for algeria...we want you back in blue

I have been hoping the Ivory Coast lose every game so far so no reason to change now. Come on Algeria - 15 mins to hang on.

Algeria just missed a total sitter
