Alex Sandro

Well as far as I’m aware the club has never signed an Alex Sandro since it’s founding on 10th March 1905 so that would technically make it 41,202 days since we have not signed Alex Sandro. Unless of course you reset at the beginning of each transfer window.

If only Alex Sandro could see what we have devolved into.
Just request a move, sign up and end our misery.

Just sign Ryan Bertrand as back up. Let me guess Sandro like Dybala has a high overall rating on FIFA. Let United sign him. 70 million for WB is ridiculous. Jesus.

I beg to differ Stim. They went after the player hard, and eventually got him, paying whatever it took. They couldn't get him in the summer but they weren't dissuaded.

I agree, Liverpool are approaching things pretty well imo. They have a manager that fits there style and profile tied down on a long term deal, and they are slowly putting a team together that he wants.

obviously the acid test will be whether or not he gets that league title, but i dont think you can knock how they are going about things at the moment. It seems like a good environment for players to go there.

I said it a while back. Unfortunately I can see them winning the title under Klopp. He's not a short, sharp, shock manager, rather he's a builder of teams, and pretty breathtaking teams at that. I despise Liverpool but I really like and admire Klopp, and I think he's going to turn them into a formidable force. Keita and Van Dijk appear to be his signings and they will strengthen Liverpool in areas where they are weak. Be interesting to see what happens with Coutinho.

Really ? I seen a much more ridiculous and clueless post in the Gary Cahill thread only a few days ago.....

Well talking about some rookie in Scotland (Who plays against League One style talent) replacing Marcos A is a little bit out there old chap. It would be like replacing Le Saux with Danny Granville. That's if you know who those two players are.

I think a poster in that thread summed it up well in regards to Gary Cahill which I actually agreed with.

Some people like marmite and some don't.

IT'S THE PRINCIPLE!
Alex Sandro represents something much bigger than playing ability, he represents the board's inability to pursue megaexpensive players that United, City even Liverpool would likely be able to buy.

Currently if City really wanted him he'd go there. Principle doesn't even come into it. 70 million is ridiculous when we already have a LWB . Glad to read AC has ended his apparent interest in Sandro and is now after Telles. Liverpool have embarrassed themselves dropping £75 on Dick Van Dyke. I'd be interested to see how that Keita goes too. Guarantee they won't win the league next year. Coutinho off anyways.

We should be looking at improving our attacking midfielders position and competition in the striker area.

Also this Sandro fella has 6 goals in 60 games. Marcos 11 in 51.

I can see them keeping coutinho for another season, they are in a much better position than they were with Suarez and sterling. He has 4 years left on his contract, and they already turned down £130m last summer.

Back to Sandro, I appreciate he doesn't have the goals output of alonso, but I feel alonso's goals are papering over pretty average perfomances. Sandro would be an improvement and if conte wants him, we should pursue him. I'm glad we didn't just sign any old player to fill the squad like we seem to have done with zappacosta, who looks like an expensive punt, when we would've been better keeping that £20m and putting it towards a quality right wing back in January or the summer.

Personally i would like to see a left midfielder play wing back, rather than a left back. We play 3 centre backs and 2 defensive midfielders, so the other 5 players in the team should be attack minded players, but I appreciate it might not be the Italian way.

Sandro would be cuptied for this season anyway. Why not give a recovering Baba Rahman the chance to be the cover for the rest of the season? We may find use for £70m to be spend elsewhere.

Sounds like Baba is nowhere near being ready, based on Conte's press conference.

It's true about Alonso imo. His goals paper over his overall performancs.

Pros:

He scores goals.

He's good in the air.

He's technically pretty good.

He can fill in at CB.

Been decent defensively.

Cons:

He's been off the pace a bit.

Final ball been very poor (from both flanks)

He's probably exhausted.

He's slow.

I would go for him.

everyone is splashing the cash even Liverpool. And we need another LWB and of quality Sandro is just thAt.

even if he is cup tied we can still use him in the league and domestic cups rather than burn Alonso out.

When you counted that did you account for leap years?

Haha I was saying that the other day, he is such a likable player it's a shame he is extraordinarily slow, have you seen him play in person, he is even slower, the tele makes him look faster

sorry but juve is not a second tier club that sells its key players during the winter window while competing to win all competitions even for a ridiculous offer (100+).

I guess chelsea are then because we let Diego go half way to the winter window, if rumours are true and sandro is having issues with the manager could be the case that juve let him go for the right price, no offence but juve are a selling club, they are willing to let their best players go for the right fee
