We should secure 6 points from our last 2 matches..(but) a draw at villa AT WORST case scenario and anwin v everton should secure our position in top 4...A 3 1 win at villa park is on the menu

A win secures it so we shouldn't be thinking anything else. CL spot secured would give us the boost for the final. I don't want to see us leave it for Everton in Moyes' last game.

I would rotate the living day lights out of the starting XI

               Cech

Ivan - Cahill - JT - Bertrand (if fit)

     Lampard - Mikel (if fit)

Moses - Oscar - Hazard (if fit)

                Ba

The lads looked tired last night and Luiz didn't look fully fit and obviously he pulled up in the warm up, give him a rest before the final.

Ramires looked shot too, he needs a rest his passing was woeful at times last night, again, rest before the final. If Mikel isn't fit start either Romeu or Ake and bring on Ramires/Luiz if required in the second half.

Mata I would rest at the start and bring him on for Hazard in the second half so they both rest before the final. If Hazard isn't fit, start with Mata and replace him with Torres in 70th so that he can rest and Torres gets game time before the final.

Our next final. I worry about our team selection. I'd go

CEch

Azpi jt Ivan ash

Lamps Mikel

Hazard Oscar moses

Ba

On the other side of the coin gents , i feel spuds will fail at Stoke and Le arse will fail in Geordie land. But beating Villa will put all our nervs at rest and we can all look foward to Wednesday night without the thought of beating Everton looming over us.

Should have been done and dusted last night.Spurs in the Champions league, whats the point? They are not good enough.Put out the strongest 11 against Villa and no Benayoun on the bench please. It will be a tough one but we can come through it.Ba must be more clinical.
Benayoun left at Cobham don't you mean Hemel.

Villa 0 - 0 Chelsea ... due to this game being the first weekend fixture ... perhaps Villa need just 1 more point to be certain ???

Therefore, can see both Teams going at this fixture hammer & tong ... hence, feel it may be a draw ???

quitely confident but.............

lets not forget this is a resurgent Villa team who Chelsea thrashed 8 0 at the Bridge &

I would imagine Lambert will use that as motivation to get his youngsters in the right frame of mind

and be no pushovers, they have played a lot less games and have youthful legs on their side.

Fatty has the potential to cock it up just like he has done at so many away games this season.

Its an early KO at a bogey team ground, we need a big performance and the 3 points, Im even gonna

get up at the crack of dawn to watch it over here.

So glad this is the early Saturday kick off, don't think I could wait till Sunday again. This game has been on my mind all day and I can't even focus on work... Win this and we've done it... But Villa away is our bogey fixture AND they'll want to give a good send off for Petrov...

Just sort it out Chels.

Maybe one day Benitez will learn the benefits of picking your best back four and sticking with it.

I hope you're kidding. Securing a top four spot on Saturday should be our main priority.

Expecting a win here, Benteke was useless when we last played them and in our last 2 games we've shut out Van Persie and Bale, 3-0 to the mighty Blues!

Not not kidding at all.

I agree securing the top 4 is the priority and that's why I would rotate the starting XI from the Spurs game. Luiz, and Ramires looked off the pace by the end of the game, Dave has played about 12 consecutive matches for us (random guess). Torres as well as being useless looked knackered.

I personally think that making changes will put us in a better position to beat Villa, we have more than enough quality to beat Villa with the starting XI I suggested.

1-2 Chels. Lampard double. CL secured. No Benayoun. Happy days.

I've always had a good day out at Villa, hoping for the same tomorrow.

This feels like that wigan game we had to win to secure the title under Carlo. So nervous.
