You should go hunt out some articles on the BPS and see why it is so iconic, the stadium would be nothing like any other if it had been built that way.

 
That new drawing looks impressive, but Stamford Bridge feels like home to me, and it's a home we might be forced to leave.

I appreciate that Battersea power station is an iconic structure, I know the history as a family member worked there but the artists impression of the stadium just looks like a multitude of others and I would not want to leave our home for a load of rectangles and chimneys.

Come on, surely you can see how great this stadium could be, with the single tier stand built into the BPS structure it will completely different to any other stadium in football. The outside could also be something special, rather than just a concrete concourse with burger vans. The whole environment on match day would be unique in the world of football.

That looks awesome, but I'm not sure it's particularly practical with the walls there like that...? I don't know, say what you like about bowl stadiums, they're good in terms of getting lots of fans in there, which I assume would be good for atmosphere, ticket prices and availbility

Why anyone would wish to turn a great, unused London building into another ruddy shopping centre rather than a football stadium is beyond me

Hopefully more people come to sense about this whole thing, another shopping centre - do you really need that London?

 
You just know it would be one of those stadiums that looks spectacular when finished....you know...if it ever started being constructed....

The long-neglected building south of the Thames was bought by a Malaysian consortium which has secured planning permission for a hotel, shops, office space and 3,500 homes.

Roman Abramovich’s club wanted to build a new 60,000-seater stadium which would have retained the power station’s famous towers.

The Champions League winners wanted a new stadium after concerns about the redevelopment potential of their current Stamford Bridge ground.

Chelsea had revealed that their bid would also 'include a town centre with substantial street-level retail shops, affordable housing and offices'.

The club's options now seem to include sites at Earls Court and Shepherd's Bush, where a new stadium could be built, or to remain at Stamford Bridge and attempt a renovation project.

The Blues have played at Stamford Bridge since the club's inception in 1905.

Gutted really, it would have made my journey much easier.

I wonder that the clubs plan B is.

How exciting.

A real shame as the stadium could have been stunning, and really boosted the local area - a real missed opportunity by the local council imo.

 
I hope one day when I get back to London, I can take a detour and have a nice walk around that home and office complex. What a treat.

 
If we were going to move I wanted it to be there, hope the foreigners mess things up and it comes back on the market, I dont fancy Earls Court or Queer Park shirt lifters manor.

 
QPR are supposed to be annoucing a new ground move on monday, also Tony Ferdnandes put this this on twitter,

hopefully they'll take OOC which isnt that far from Loftus Road but i cant see it, proberly be White City.
