Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is looking at the long-term future at Stamford Bridge as he already feel part of the Blues family.Ancelotti has enjoyed an we outstanding start to his Chelsea career, guiding them to the top of the Premier League table and into the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League.

The former AC Milan chief admits he is loving life in West London.

"My objective is to maintain and keep this position for a long time and I can do this if I do a good job and if the club is happy about the job I'm doing," Ancelotti said.

"Up to now, the club is happy with the job I've done I think.

"I want to continue and improve, if possible. To maintain the club's position at the top of the Premiership and doing well in the Champions League.

What do you think? I am positive.

Oh, and sorry if this has been posted before.

I saw this on the official site earlier, and if he continues like he has in his first 3 months, then I'd be happy to keep him for 10+ years!

I think if he does well this year (i.e. a trophy or two, preferably the CL) then it will reside on his 2nd year. If he does it again, he could well be here for years. Having said that, Mourinho did amazing in his first 2 seasons, and left 2 years later, so it's impossible to tell whether he'll be here for years or not. I personally really hope he does stay, Ancelotti seems to be doing amazingly.

Great. He's good enough to be a sensible long term option, and almost any long term manager is better than the alternative. He seems to have his head screwed on as regards youth development and general coaching of players, so I reckon he'll be as good a candidate as any to continue our success when the likes of Lampard and Drogba are past their prime.

With the likes of Kakuta and Aguero replacing them ;)

Stability is needed and Carlo seems the guy to give us that. His record shows him as being loyal to whatever club he serves and even in ten years he would still have time to manage Italy.

The way I've always seen it is that our players have given us the stability in the past. The big characters in the dressing room like Terry, Lampard, Ballack, Drogba, they've been the ones to provide us with the strength and stability to keep us right up there challenging while all around them gets replaced. Now that hopefully we can have Ancelotti giving us stability in the managerial department, and the rest of the staff as well, it makes it easier to replace some of the bigger characters in the squad, which otherwise would be pretty much impossible.

Anyone who can survive at an Italian club like AC Milano for , what was it 8 years? in a society that ditches managers at the drop of a hat (faster than Chelsea!) proves the strength of character and guile of the man.

Quietly confident he'll be around for a while, and we're about to enjoy another rich era.
