Champions League Quarter-Final Draw

We have a pretty good record in the "in between" game in the last two years.

1-4 Palace, 2-0 Fulham and 0-6 Southampton.
Do you actually walk around with all this data in your brain ?😉

Haha you joke but with Chelsea I think I do, which is strange because I am far from clever in a general sense, for example i have tried learning Spanish on and off for a decade and can't get further than what you need to get by in Spanish speaking countries (which helps an awful lot especially in South America but still).

Well Benfica believed they could win the CL this season. They could not have asked for a better shot at the final. Same for Napoli.

Let see if they beat bayern...
Indeed, pressure on them, Bayern have all the experience of winning it many times.

However some on here have said Bayern are not there special. If that is true, then City best them.

Not the draw I wanted because I think they have the potential to tear us a new one, I don't want an embarrassing defeat.

At the same time though, it could set a standard for where we are. We absolutely battered Madrid over two games last season and were unfortunate to lose, thanks to the absolute brilliance from Benzema and some silly individual mistakes from our end with Kante and Mendy.

Madrid do look better now in quality though, but I don't think we should be getting smashed like Liverpool did.

the secret is owned vinicius

I remember tuchel put ruben in secondleg last year and vinicious creat almost nothing

2 bob draw, no luck at all just like with the domestic cups, I doubt that not even the most optimistic among us can see making it to Istanbul now ??

Make it to the final? All depends on our top players staying fit, in form and free of suspensions.

Meaning Enzo, Kante, James and Chilwell at the minimum need to be pulling up trees and Kepa needs to be at the top of his game. An early return from injury from Silva would help too.

I'm not sure I understand this ?
This should help.
The full path to the final is shown in the picture. I have shown Path A in blue and Path B in red.
In the final there will be a single "blue" team and a single "red" team.

In theory both paths to the final should be equally strong, but if you look at the teams things are quite curious. In my opinion every major favorite to win the whole tournament is in the blue path.

I actually think we can win this tie especially if Kante returns
Kante was the reason we lost against them last season though 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Kante needs a good run of games for match fitness as well.

I see it now, and you're right !

Thanks for the explanation.

bayern in bundesliga are a little bit inconsistent and I think the won against psg was a little overhyped

lets see but I dont know wether they can beat city

real madrid is not so good than last year which I think is good for us and I think that their lack of deep can hurt them
Pep against his old team...he's bound to be "too clever" again 😝

If we are serious about winning the CL, may as well beat the best team before the final, so I'm happy with the draw.
