who do you think Mourinho should buy in the transfer market

However it is a lot to wade through so I will give you a few of my ideas here.
For me the key is to bring in another experienced centre half and another striker.
The centre half must be able to fit straight into the team and therefore preferably has to be UK based already. My choices are Woodgate first and Campbell second. The Woodgate option obviously brings the concern of his injury record. Campbell would be no more than an 18 month deal.
If neither of these players are available then maybe Ayala on an 18 month contract.
The striker situation is a tougher call as I don't see anyone in the Premiership worth bringing in (I know some are keen on Bent and Ashton and even Defoe). Torres is bound to be a player we are linked with and that is a possibility and I wouldn't be all that surprised if people start tryingto link us with a bid for Villa as well. I am not convinced either of these would be good signings though. This is a tough one.
Alternatively Jose may well decide to stick it out with just Drogba and Sheva and having Kalou as back up (even though he clearly isn't a striker) and maybe we will look to bring in a new winger instead.
Having said all of that the only player we have been linked to with any great conviction is Richards however I don't think there is any need to sign him.

i personally think we need a right back, preferably michah richards because he can also slot in at centre back, and that would be it, i think shevva will come good (hopefully) and if not then summer would be the time to get a new striker mainly due to the strikers we have been linked with (david villa) already playing in the champs league or the other strikers who i dont think quite cut it, ashton to name one, never rated him
so for now, a new right back, a fit robben,terry and cech, and i think we'll be fine

I think we need a CB and striker (back up only as I believe Sheva will come good)
a winger if SWP go's but not if he stays.
my choice would be a good young CB like Curtis Davies from WBA and a proven EPL striker like Darren Bent.

good point, no i dont think it is, but i just cant see mourinho making a bid for a striker now, by all means i think we do need another striker if we are trying to win the league and cups, but the lack of availability in the market and the price when we come knocking at the door means i dont think we will even consider one for january.

I second Loz's post: we're too thin on the ground in centre back and the striking department.
those injuries! I have my doubts about Woodgate, too injury prone, Richards is promising, but I'm not sure he'll slot right in. Maybe at EPL level, but not at CL level. Campbell has huge experience, but also a history of getting unsettled for unspecified reasons. But if he comes on a short term contract, he should be a very reliable player for us.
Striker? I really really don't know. We can buy whomever we like (and we have done with Sheva), but if he doesn't get the service he needs, it's not much use. For the time being, I just pray Drogba doesn't get injured

welcome to the forum mate, hope you enjoy it on here. IN short, it looks to me as if Ferreira, for no reason I can think of, isn't in Jose's favour, and Geremi is the eternal joureyman professional. We are also, due to the selling of Gallas, and Huth, really short in central defence. So to me, a centre back that can play on the right would be great. Micah Richards seems to eb topping the list there.
We are also lacking in wide players, the loss of Joe Cole, and the continual injuring of Robben, means we don't really have a player who we can bring on and change the game. Also Kalou looks great, but is still finding his feet, and Sweepy just looks like a one trick pony who everyone has figured out. So a graet attacking midfielder would be up there too. To me, there are not many better than Kaka, from AC. David Villa is alos being mentinoed, as are a number of other players.
A striker, which VIlla could be too, is also a must. Shevchenko just isn't doing much this season, and some doubt he ever will. Lets be honest here, Drogba has saved our bacon on more than one occassion and if he ever were to be injured...well we would be in deep trouble my friend! I have always liked fernando torres, but it is tough to know if he would be able to adapt. To me, we should have kept Crespo!
Anyway, we are trying to keep it to 2 players for every position, so who knows if we will sign anyone and just "hope" our team clicks back into shape/fitness. But we need a defender, an attacking mid/winger and a striker.

i think know we need good defencer and great striker
defencer like : andrade or ayala or king or...
striker like : villa or fernando torres or toni or barros or ronaldo
it's a fact that sheva can't be our dream striker in this season and we need new striker and it's important for us our new striker can play in champion league
and we now it's impossible to bring torres and toni and villa for this season
so it's better we think about barros and ronaldo
