who cares whether it came under SPORTING or not..This isnt cricket....He was very quick thinking and disabled just another time wasting tactic.....we scored bcause of it.......sorry to the football puritons but hey, this really is a tough game, and i for one dont give a sh*t how we score as long as we do

If an Arsenal player had done it I bet the media would be calling it "a clever bit of thinking".

Practice shot? Not buying into that argument.

No other position on the pitch gets given a chance to practice first.

Striker fluffs a shot "No, doesn't count, was just my practice shot... give us the ball back so I can have my real shot".

I stand by what I said, I see no reason why the goalkeeper needs to bounce the ball, let alone be protected whilst doing so.
I did actually say they do it to get their range and used practise shot as a poor example, seeing i also used how a rapper grabs their balls aswell i thought that maybe just maybe it would be evident that i wasnt trying to make a case for the keeper.

Our modern game that some how has retained the name football has had 99% of physical contact taken out of it, the first change that was made was to protect goal keepers more. If you look at early footage of football " also called the olden days and normally comes in black and white " you will see that an outfield player could nudge the keeper across the line and claim a legit goal.

My point in a nutshell, rules are rules no matter how dumb they are then someone dumber comes along to change it all up again.

I wasn't digging you out, more using your post as a means to highlight that I can not see a footballing argument for goalkeepers to be "untouchable" when bouncing the ball, when the act of bouncing the ball serves no actual purpose.

As for the ball grabbing rappers, I thought it was a very good point.

It was just a lucky guess when it came to my final score prediction

Anyway I forgot to review this match so here's my quick take on it.

We had a poor start to the game, but I felt after we scored that controversial first goal the momentum swung our way and we never looked back. Cardiff are a team that has a few problems behind the scenes so I thought we could exploit this instability on the pitch and I thought we did it well.

Good to see Eto'o finally score but he should have scored the first goal as well, but at least he scored. Hazard and Oscar were brilliant yet again.

Great win and the momentum continues in the EPL now.
