Chelsea v Newcastle (PL) Sun 28th May 2023 16:30 GMT

[Argo]

Crazy to think the first game of this season was a 1-0 win at Goodison against Lampard's Everton under Tuchel with Jorginho scoring the winning penalty.

Genuinely feels like another era let alone season.

Azpi, Ruben, and Gallagher start.

Chance for all three to play their last games for us?

Chukwuemeka had a decent game in the circumstances against Man United, and his reward is a return to the bench

Great Team Selection For My Bet Of 2-1 Newcastle

[axman2526]

Carney dropped to the bench, DD Fofana from the squad....oh Frank...

[AndyDowsleftflank]

Of Frank, what did Carney do wrong?

Oh well, just 90 mins left of this mess!

[nonotnowjim]

FFS - Needed to ply Mudryk, Carney, Fofana.

Nothing to gain from plying Azpi, RLC and Kai

Lineup gave me a good chuckle, though I do expect Azpi, RLC and Thiago to get a "send off" moment at some point .

Thank god he's gone after today. Amazing legend of a player. But get him as far away from this club as we can, as a manager

[reparto corse]

Brutal line-up ... Why Frank???

Agreed.

Clearly a selection he believes is his best bet to get a win on the last day.

however no selection would have us beat them imo.

[dermott]

Brutal line-up ... Why Frank???

Because he's clueless. If he wants to give farewells to a couple of players, which is the only explanation, start them on the bench, bring them on.

[axman2526]

Could be the last games for Kepa, Dave, Chalobah, RLC, Gallagher, Kai and Sterling.

Think only Madueke and Enzo are safe in that side to not be sold off, bar Hall who may well get loaned.

[Sconnie Blue]

Bigs up Carneys performance against United and then drops him.

Can’t wait until Lampard is gone. 90 minutes thank goodness.

Yeah had we brought in an interim we have no connection to he would be in for a right booing today.

Perhaps he's going to sub them off after 6, 12 and 28 minutes LOL.

I'd also suggest Frank subs Gallagher after 23 minutes and Havertz after 29 minutes.

i.e. get all the subs done in the first half an hour, and then he can sit back to enjoy the adulation of the crowd !

[axman2526]

Hey @Modand @cocoyou like a good bet, what are the odds on the players being pelted for a certain vegetable well associated with our club during the "lap of honour"?

[Scott Harris]

Last game of the season. Don't understand why he doesn't just say f**k it and put the future of the club on the pitch.

D.Fofana, Mudryk, Madueke, Felix, Enzo, Chukwuemeka, just play them all, there is nothing to lose at this point.

I love Lampard, but bringing him back has been a waste of time. He's done nothing to help get these players settled.
