In all fairness he wasn't worthy of any criticsm tonight unlike others.

Carlo for all the fine work he has done this fortnight needs a slap to waken him up, that just can't be allowed to happen again.

Mom has to be one of the full backs. I think paulo isn't getting enough credit at the moment. I think he is doing soundly, just like I knew he would given a run of games.

And do you recall that one forward run by Ferreira that required a nice tackle by a Bolton defender in the box? He really is doing a yeoman's job.

As to Mikel, yes, that is his specialty, but against Bolton, come on, he has to know that you just can't make those fouls in the 30 - 40 yards from our goal area.

Paulo was alright, but Zhirkov was the main man tonight.

I think Mikel deserves a mentioning. A lot was demanded of him, and he did fine. Ballack on the other hand, completely disappeared. JT and Alex were great too.

Definitely paranoid. I think the ball was there to be challenged for. Zhirkov did fantastically well to head it away and then took the knock. I don't think Davies did anything wrong.

I don't doubt it was there to be won but I feel he followed through, after all a head butt doesn't hurt if you're the perpetrator as you know what part of the head to use to inflict the damage. What he did was no different than a defender clattering the opponent after winning the ball.

No he wasn't. His shooting was awful but in the time he was on he looked far more dangerous than Kalou, Lampard, Ballack or Malouda in his time on the pitch. Not MOTM but certainly not useless.

I thought Florent done as much as Coley Loz? I think we are definitely more powerful in attack with those two on the pitch. That is nothing against Nico (who I thought should of stayed on), more against King Salomon (the fella tries, you got to give him that)

Yuri for me, but I did admire Paulo's game as well, so glad we didn't get rid of him last summer, injuries are making him a key member of our push for the double.

As for Joey, his finishing could've certainly been better, but most of the time I saw him he was blazing past Bolton and getting into the box, including that one cross that went to ________ (I was in class, watching a sh*tty stream) that got saved on the line. Thought he needed to convert one of those chances, but he put in a better performance than most of the starters in the brief time he was on the pitch.

Was immense last night. Defended very well and always a threat going forward.

Kalou on the other hand was his old self last night..

For large patches of the game last night I was wondering why Carlo had thought it was a good idea to play Bolton with only ten men!

Zhirkov MOTM by a mile. Best he has played for us by far. Thought all the back four did well and a special mention for Joey who showed us what we had been missing and what we needed when he came on (bar his woeful shooting).

I'm proud of Zhirkov's resolve. A start interrupted by injury, and indifferent form has resulted in him proving his worth when we needed him most. The run in to the end of the season, in the absence of the best LB in the world. Hopefully he will continue to get chances to shine the rest of this season and into the future.
