Pretty scrappy game. We dominated pretty heavily and were rewarded with the goal.

Di Santo was pretty anonymous, sadly. But he came on at the wrong time. :P

The Dippers got lucky again, I see...

A very frustrating game, but I am glad that the players kept patient and didn't lose the rag. Though Terry might get a second yellow as Totti was winding him up no end, and then so was Mexes.

Kalou and Malouda very disapointing espceially after their performances at the weekend. the same could be said of Bridge, and certainly has to be said of Bosingwa. Deco shouldn't have stayed on the whole game. Belletti again proving his versatility but I am getting slightly frustrated by LFS constant choice of 4 defenders on the bench. It's not good when chasing a game, and we have no real attacking options to come and change things

Gotta say I agree with all those posts though mate :P

Would have like to have seen Deco come off and have belletti play the holding role. Get Mikel and Lampard in ahead of them, and then bring on Stoch and Di Santo.

Also, glad to see Percy back

The Scum game was almost laughable as how bad the reffing was. Keane was offside for his goal, and then two goals were chopped off, one for each side, that were both clearly onside.

I thought Belletti should have kept his place, he was mt mom last time out and scored a screamer...why bring in players not quite match fit and drop him?

Good hard fought win, the forward line was poor tonight , Anelka one shot all night (and off target) says it all. Poor service from the wings didnt help. The Bordeaux result was a good one, one more win and we can coast in.

Bit of a reality check for us after the last two performances. A lot of players weren't at their best tonight, although I thought Mikel was the pick of the bunch. A frustrating game all round, but at least we won.

The ref cant have been as bad as in our game. I thought he was shocking. The Roma players had him for breakfast.

Happy with the win, Roma came and parked the bus and they had every right to do so. Im just glad we found a way though. A big result tonight in terms of the group.

Didnt JTs goal take you back a few years to the Barca game ?

Scott, postboosting again :P

I didnt see our game, but am glad to hear we at least got the three points based on how lacklustre its being described as.

I heard the decisions in the dipper game were abominable. Keane offside, then not one but TWO clear goals waved off? By none other than Maniche? Then again they shouldve had Aguero in all game!

I'll only respond to one of your posts if you don't mind. :P

Roma didn't want a second humiliation in the space of 3 days and I think this was a bit of reality check for Chelsea and some fans who have been raving about the performances of late.

Boro were dire and gave Chelsea enough space and time to do as they pleased and so they did and everyone looked fantastic as a result.

Roma came, parked the bus and were not quite so accommodating (they had no reason to be) and have better quality players - the result? A scrappy, lacklustre game, settled by a solitary goal.

But that's what counts in the end the result in games like these, in the table no one cares how you played just where you are in the standings.

Belletti was a good swap for Malouda who, once again, disappointed against a better class of opposition. Hope Belletti keeps the palce for Sunday.

But the major let down was Kalou. His final ball was laughable. Not since Gronks have I seen such consistently dire delivery. He didn't make one telling pass or cross. And the truly frustrating bit was the number of times he got the ball, with time and space, in really dangerous positions, only to blast it straight at the closest defender or pass it to MR A.M Nobody.

Felt we missed Drogba tonight, but then I think we always do. But, with the performances of Malouda and Kalou, I also felt we missed Joe Cole as well.

Still Mikel was excellent and JT was so up for it. Job done.

Suits to the left of me, suits to the right, no singing, chanting, cheering -

Anything. No wonder I prefer Premier League games. Thanks for the scarf Chels and JT for his goal... Ref was terrible, worst i've seen in a long while.

Still, it's 3 points and the scum knows what it feels like when the other team get a late goal and ruin their match, it'll happen in the league soon enough.

It's good to see that we actually had a way of getting through an opposing team parking the bus. Remember a few instances, including against Tottenham, that they parked the bus and we had no response. Baby steps, I suppose, but I hope that todays effort was bad enough to have Scolari kic the boys into gear for Sunday's match up
