Thats about all I could think while watching ET. My god, I actually rushed home to watch what I could of this game, what the hell was I thinking?

I found that last 30 minutes impossible to enjoy. The sheer amount of cheating, fisticuffs, diving, bad tempers, fan violence, and outbursts against the ref were shocking. How the hell can supporters there walk away from a game like that feeling good? That was virtually everything awful about football packed into 20 minutes.

The only good thing about it was seeing Courtois show the world that he is an absolute titan. That save on Ozil was something from the gods. He won them that trophy, hands down, and they owe us for that.

What a joke.

Horrible game.

Madrids bench is a joke while players of both sides should be embarrassed by all that play acting and diving.

For such a great institution Real have become cringey as hell of late.

The fact that his boot didnt even catch him, and then he throws himself to the ground and takes five minutes getting his nose wadded up was embarrassing in the extreme. 

Same thing with the Real Madrid end going bananas, along with Di Maria (who grabbed the ref) and the whole RM bench for a ball striking someones knee in the box (not even CLOSE to his hands).

For such a proud club, I have no idea why Madrid comport themselves like a schoolyard gang sometimes. So many of their players have serious temper issues, and its something I never remember seeing during the Del Bosque era. Its sad to say, but Jose has not helped.

Not that they were any worse than Athletico throwing fists on the bench.

That was the most farcical final I've ever seen. I've seen worse acting in a theatre, what a joke!

Courtois though, take a bow. We'd be morons to let this kid go.

At least! When you consider we practically handed them the Super Cup by not showing up and letting Falcao do whatever he liked, their whole season has been sterling thanks to Chelsea.

You said it. It started before the arrival of Jose. But it seems to have grown worse.

They need someone like Carlo in the worst way, and they need to let him remake the culture of that team. 

 
They're a circus and always have been.  Its gotten really bad of late.  Complete laughing stock of football, and the other side of Madrid didn't exactly cover themselves in glory either.  The reason they've failed to win anything is because select members of the squad have gone to war with the manager.  Not unlike the battle our senior players had with AVB.  

Who cares really.  Mourinho can get sacked and come back here with a point to prove since his reputation is tarnished.  Maybe they'll do another ridiculous reorganisation and we can pick up some of their players on the cheap like when they shipped Robben and Sneijder for nothing.

Serious drama, that was kind of ridiculous. Courtois is a real presence in the box, huge in the air, really confident and a remarkable shot-stopper too. I have to admit I enjoyed watching Casillas stewing on the bench while the rising star Thibaut shone. This Atletico side are impressive, very disciplined and with Courtois between the sticks it's hard not to like them - to be honest it'll be sad to see Falcao leave.

I don't know what to make of the Mourinho incident; at this point I would prefer it if he stirred up as little bad blood as possible to make the transition as clean as possible. To be honest it's not nice to see him lose a cup final and endure his first trophy-less season for a while - let's hope that will drive him to succeed again and isn't the beginning of a downward turn in his career. Well done Atletico - that one must taste pretty sweet.

 
I watched it from 70 minutes onwards, I really shouldn't have bothered.

I just don't get Spanish football, so much diving, just got a little too tedious in the end.

Give me Spurs against Arsenal or the Merseyside derby any day of the week.

 
Hell Hibs v Hearts its better than what was on show tonight.

As above comments have touched on I'm becoming less and less interested in the Spanish game due to the play acting and out right scummery of many players and clubs which is a damn shame considering they have some of the best players on the planet and 2 of the all time greats.
