Can't say I agree what you say about Dave. It wasn't dirty but it was reckless, his studs were up, slam dunk red for me all day.

It was similar to Cahill's against Arsenal - who I thought dodged a bullet at the time by staying on the pitch.
Agree to disagree with you on azpi, but agree on cahill value arsenal as that tackled smacked of revenge

Watching the tackle live my first instinct was Azpi was going to be lucky not to walk. Going in studs up like that and missing the ball as well is just asking for it. Fortunately Palace had a complete dimwit on their own side who made what could have been a tricky last 45 minutes a lot easier for us. The ref mostly got things right.

Both goals were a joy. The second especially. It took about a dozen viewings to figure out exactly who did what in that little move. Oscar is proving that class is permanent. Overall a more dominant performance than 2-1 suggests, we should really have been 3 or 4 ahead by the time they scored. It needlessly put us under pressure at the end.

Still, this is the type of game we were dropping points in last season.

Fantastic performance from the boys yesterday, controlled the game throughout great to watch. Oscar has been on fire recently great to see the improvement after a slow start to the season took is goal brilliantly. Shame about Azpi's red card but Luis looked more than capable of stepping in when he came on, Remy was decent needed to be a bit more of a threat in front of goal but he linked up play impressivley as did Didier when he came on. As for both of our goals incredible especially the second as Jose said it was a peice of art. Often overlooked I think though, Matic completley controlled the game what a player he is, would love to know how many passes he made yesterday.

"I thought he was influenced today. He had four Chelsea players around him..."

LMAO

Like this Neil?

One word to describe Warnock = tool

Dave is usually a very composed guy, for him to go studs up like that there must be a reason. If there was ever a game where we could cop a straight red, this would have been the one. 11 against 11, or 11 against 10, we would have won it easily, and not testing ourselves in the way we did. Luis will get few games in a row, which will be good for him. Wacock is a c* that deserves his own c* thread.

Dave's kind of tackle is so common place these days...just think back to gazza at italia 90...so often a player fails to control a ball or dribbles it too far and makes a desperate lunge to maintain possession...there is no bad intent and always looks worse than it actually is...still a red though

beat the bar stewards with a superior brand of football

Warnock is as always a knob head of epic proportions

bring on the Scum united then

We made a passing record in the game. Not just Chelsea record but Premier League record for most passes as an away side. 751 passes with 89% succession rate. No more long ball Chelsea then. I really don't care how we play as long as we win but it just tells about how versatile we are. We can sit deep, counter attack, control by passing or just be very balanced. Our brand is being versatile or adaptive.

On the TV all you could hear for the last 15 minutes was the Chelsea away support.  You'd of thought it was the whole stadium singing and not the away section.  Typical crummy plastic CFC supporters.

Is Warnock the poor mans Wenger ?

For making up stories about decisions going against his team...

Good win away anyway.
