Good on you Tea Bar. Did corporate for the semi. It was okay save for being in the Villa end. Mind where you drink your beer! I'm going on an organised bus from the Prince of Wales pub at West Brompton

- peolpe slag off Corporate ST Holders but when I was on the plain to Stockholm I met two men in their 60's who were Corporate ST Holders the types many on here slag off but they had been fans all their lives - they were in Athens in 1971 and stayed for the replay living off food donations from the locals- the only diff being they had made something out of their lives and we barrack them for it

What I was replying to was that a member who has been to every game couldn't understand why he didn't get a ticket over ST Holders -its clear if as he said he had 100 points then he must have been to an awful lot of games but for whatever reason doesn't have a ST - so no he shouldn't get priority because those are the rules set at the beginning of the season and he knew that

First things first, i totally agree with what you were saying originally. Anyone with a season ticket does deserve priority over a member, no matter how many points they have. End of.

I just dont see how throwing in the fact you are an 'old timer' is relevant. Its such a snobby attitude. In fact, the fact you have stated you've only been a fan since 1997 makes your point fruitless. To a lot of people you are just as bad as the people you are belittling, but luckily enough most Chelsea fans dont seem to share the attitude you seem to have acquired.

We have pbtained lots of new fans these past few years. Sure , some will leave us, but others will be with us forever and fair f**king play to them. Just because they havent been a fan for as long as you or i doesnt mean we should think any less of them, or use the fact we have been to more games to them over many year as a way to act superior and high and mighty. We should be thrilled to have them on our side.

Its no wonder sometimes Chelsea fans get a bad name when we have people who act in such a manner. These are the people who boo the team when they are not winning and totally miss the point about what being a Chelsea fan is all about.

I think you need to read the posts properly

I was making a general assumption that those peolpe who have been going for years and paying their money do deserve to get first priority

The fact that I am only 35 and have had a ST for 13 years isn't that bad seeing as I was at UNi until 21 so not earning enough to get one before and have stated in my posts as well that before that I just used to turn up with my mates

Its not a snobby attitude its like most things in life first come first served - the bloke starts his life on the forum moaning that he can't get a ticket over ST holders when he knows the rules at the beginning - thats what I took offense to

In fact I am sticking up for people who have joined the chelsea family as you can see in my post so your point their is "fruitless also"

As i said before I couldn't care less who sat next to me as long as they enjoy and come back for more

So I say that your last post is pretty fruitless and we'll beg to differ and also I can't be arsed to converse anymore with someone who thinks it ok to offend anyone

 
Especially if Yorkley is referring to Stevie Wonder.

Erm yeah i have and its pretty clear to me you used your standing as a long standing chelsea fan of 13 years to claim a moral high ground.

Anyway, lets move on sorry if i did offend, it certainly wasnt the intention. I can be mardy and picky and argumentative (search my post history!) but i do never hope to be rude.

If i have tarred you with a brush you feel you dont deserve then i apologise - its just statements like the above dont do us any favors, we want to be welcoming to new fans and not snobbish towards them and there is far too much of it about for my liking.

 
When one person says "I take offence at that" and the other replies "Good, you were meant to", it is difficult not to jump to the conclusion that person two was being deliberately offensive.

Of course, I may be out of my depths here. I have recently learned that in some parts of the English speaking world "sick" now means "excellent". So it may be that "Good, you were meant to" now means "I am so sorry, my dear, I wouldn't for the world have said anything to hurt your feelings."
