So Mr Dean has been dopped from the premiership this weekend for daring to give decisions against Man Utd. Then it got me wondering, did whoever reffed our home game against the Arse last season get dropped after they won with a ridiculous offside? somehow i doubt it.

It is a load of bullsh*t. Regardless if the decisions were right or wrong, this is a case of the FA (or whoever is responsible for the refs) breaking under pressure from Fergie. Absolutely pathetic. Double standards everywhere.

Still pretty funny that they demote him now, should of come earlier, but I guess red nose and his team felt a bit shocked to actually get a decision against them for a change. Love it

How come fergie never gets charged with bringing the game into disrepute, eevn though every other manager who says anything about refs is charged yet this time the ref gets demoted and fergie is happy??? Also it was hardly deans fault foe the offside of handball goals he was badly let down by poor linesmen

His decisions were pretty bad, i think someone clearly had a word with him beforehand and told him he was awarding too many penalties. So when he denied the Mancs one, there was no way he was gonna award one to Anelka even if it was 10x more obvious.

im not arguing that he was poor, but why is it he gets relegated yet many other refs who have been equally poor or worse dont? like i said, arsenal had an equally offside goal against us last season and the ref in that game was shocking (cant remember who it was) but he never got relegated.

Two penalty decisions wrong and two goals allowed that shouldn't have been is a pretty poor return in a game of that significance. I am not surprised he has been punished for it.
