I have no problem with the man, but wasting a foreign squad slot on a third choice goalkeeper  :face_palm:

Don't disagree, I'd like to think it would force the club to bring in a homegrown player (i.e. Celtic's left wing back Kieran Tierney) or promote from the Academy. Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise.

If it comes to it we don't have to register him. If our first two keepers are injured we are entitled to an emergency keeper which will mean we could register him anyway if the worst comes to the worst.

 
Quite often an experienced 3rd choice keeper takes on training roles, especially with the younger keepers so it might have something to do with that.

 
I doubt he'll ever get a game, but he's probably a good character to have off the pitch, Hilario was third choice and he's still with us, so clearly he's well liked at the club. A lot of us were nervous when we had to rely on Hilario for a few games, turned out to be a decent keeper and made some top saves against Barca, hopefully Eduardo can do the same, if called upon. 

 
Those of you whinging and failing in an attempt to be funny with sarcastic remarks are the exact ones who would be whinging about the lack of foresight if we did indeed have Mitchell Beeney as our 3rd choice and Courtois and Begovic were injured/suspended for a champions league final.

Some people are never happier than when they've just missed a bus.

You're right of course, but I found some of the comments really funny  :blush2: :smile:

 
If you have 2 injured or suspended goalkeepers that's not bad foresight that's just sh*t luck.

Bizarre indeed. I think we'll need a third keeper who is homegrown to get the 8 we need in the squad.
