Gerrard - dross.

Sturridge - massively out of his depth. And a sh*t house.

Townsend - RUUUUUUUNNNNN. then nothing.

Rooney - hmmmm

Cole - mostly superb. Baines my arse.

Walker and Cleverley i agree with you on, Gerrard has been ok, Sturridge needs to do more. I don't think Townsend is just running and doing nothing, he's done more than anyone else. Rooney, meh. Cole has been great, looks like he has had a good rest.

 
England miss a dominant defender, JT would have given them that. I can't believe that after having such dominant defenders over the years we are now struggling.

 
What has townsend created? He runs towards defenders cover with his head down, stops and cuts back, then looks up.

True he hasn't created much, but nobody is creating, i just think it's a bit harsh singling him out.

 
Nobody in control in central defence. Cole has shown that he is far better than Baines. Walker can't cope at international level

Not sure how I singled him out, I slagged of half the team :)
 
That break was better in terms of pace but we don't cross at the first chance and that extra touch gives defenders time to get into position. We never seem comfortable with purposeful possession.

We're showing signs of having a better second half but God this is frustrating.

 
Joe Hart was having a decent game, making some good saves......until that headrush

 
England have played ok but we just don't create, as soon as we get around their box we mess it up.

 
Watching Sturridge tonight is just like watching him when he was at Chelsea.

 
If English players had a better first touch they may well be able to get a shot off. We seem take an age to get the ball under control.

 
f**king rubbish, all huffing and puffing as usual.  I wish I'd put on that bet that England would lose both friendlies now.

I don't think we were rubbish, it's certainly an improvement on pretty much every game we played in the Qualifying and the Euro's 1 and a half years ago. I don't really know what people expect these days. We know we aren't as good as the top nations so why do you expect us to be winning all the time ? If we had gotten a few more shot's off we could have won that game today.

The only improvement was England were less sh*t than against Chile.  So what if a few shots might have won the game, this was the Jerries reserve team.
