Europa League 24/25

Why jinx it...lol

Can you imagine the pitch in Kazakhstan. These kids will be playing walking football, no running or they're all end up with buggered ankles!
Sadly no vialli, but I wonder if we'll get snow like the Tromso game.

And for those not old enough... I felt old writing that. Here is the legend himself banging them away.

Going to be interesting to see who is on the plane to Noah and Astana.

As if I'm running things, we're taking our worst 15 players and keeping the best at home.

I think it's ridiculous those clubs are in European competitions.

It's only Astana - we play Noah at home.

Seems to be a quirk of this competition that you don't play the sides in your group home and away ... just one game either/or.

It's a very weird configuration where each side play 6 random others in the league. I like it, its stupid and confusing. Lol

As said above only Astana but still...Worst 11, not risking any decent subs.

Maybe some academy players that lack discipline too...

How does it work mate ?

If we are pulled out what's the procedure for who we play ?
The Conference League is six games, with sides playing three games at home and three away. Teams who finish in the top eight will qualify automatically for the last 16, while those who place ninth to 24th will compete in a two-legged knockout play-off for the chance to join them. Whoever finishes 25th or lower will be eliminated.

who we are playing is above but when will be decided on saturday. Theres a list of dates already out but i cant find it atm.

Basically they have until Saturday to match the "who" with the "when" so that there isn't any issues like travel or match conflicts, etc

no luck to watch us live :sadwalk:
Eidur's son plays for Gent.

Heidenheim have the longest-serving manager in German football history (this is their second ever season in the Bundesliga).

Former Sheffield United right-back George Baldock has declared himself to be Greek, has 12 international caps, and now plays for Panathinaikos.

Noah, in addition to having built an ark, was manager of Maccabi Haifa a couple of millennia ago and his achievements were honoured in the title of a Bob Seger album.

This group of teams have as distinguished a Champions' League record as Tottenham.

George Baldock was also playing for the MK Dons side which beat Man Utd 4-0 in the League Cup a few years ago.

Not at all, that's what this competition was setup for. It's ridiculous that we're in this level of competition.

Embarrassment of the highest level, even worse if we don't walk it.

I mean clubs/countries that are absolutely 100% in Asia shouldn't be in UEFA.

We shouldn't be flying 11 hours to play a team.

Armenia is Europe and the UN considers Kazakhstan as partly in Eastern Europe, like Turkey. It’s a long way, I agree, but there’s no reason to exclude these countries.

Well NOAH is a home game so shouldn't be an issue and half of Kazakhstan is in Europe. We'd have to ban Turkish teams and Russian teams (prior to the war) from European competitions too.

We shouldn't be flying 11 hours because we shouldn't be in this situation, qualify for CL and this wouldn't an issue.
