Well yeah what was it a year, or two, ago there was speculation around him coming here for over 100mill.

 
The little purple patch last year made us all forget we support a football factory not a club that wants to compete at the highest level and recruits accordingly!

Both of them have played for Ireland. Rice played 3 times for the senior team, but was only able to change allegiance because he hadn't played more than 3. 

 
He was very good , and very young when he first played for Brighton,  But he's had a lot injuries since .

If he's not good enough for Brighton now, I'm not sure he's gonna be the answer for us. Mind you, he looked like a proper striker when he was fit

I do honestly think it’s clear to players just how much of a circus we are and they think f**k signing there!

Every player we have been linked to is either now linked elsewhere or gone to another club! And they mostly are not big name players either!

We'll never really know how many of these players we were actually genuinely interested in. I think it is highly likely that many of them were just linked to us either by their agents, or by social media content creators needing content to talk about, typically with each other, which we all then lap up as "truth", well some of us do anyway LOL 🙂

I doubt Ferguson would look at us and Jackson and think he can’t make it here.

It’s probably a load of bo**ocks and maybe the fact we didn’t really push hard enough for him is a promising sign. Maybe we are going for one of the big names such as Gyokeres or Sesko.

I think it’s safe to say the days of signing names like that are back in the Roman era!  One day left of the transfer window, we’re screaming out for a striker and it seems the club think it isn’t an issue!

Think of the more name players we’ve actually signed since Clownlake? Sterling and Felix? Possibly Enzo and Caicedo, but both were sort of gambles like the rest!

 
Really going into these last few months betting on Jackson getting out of this funk.

Even with Villa you can see how they are trying to tweak their squad for a better chance of success.

We need a good last 24 hours of the window or any hopes of top 4 could disappear.
