What's new

Facundo Bounanotte - Loan agreed.

Probably sailing so close to the wind on the UEFA PSR stuff that the difference maker was the 40 vs 52 on the fee !

Just makes the Gittens deal all the more bizarre. It should have been Simons and one of Gittens or Garnacho, never both. The pair of them are a massive gamble. Gittens with his Saul Niguez like performance against Palace scared me. Garnacho has multiple issues going against him. It should only have been one of them.

Or neither of them !

Estevao, Neto, Sterling, George would have been a perfectly fine quartet of wing options, and that's without considering Palmer or Joao Pedro's ability to play off the right and left respectively as well.

I thought we had our sh1t together these days. I now realise that was all a dream and players deemed not ready to be in brightons playing squad are deemed ready for ours. I can only hope now that this is in order to get cover cheaply andput that money to a top cb instead..........

Beginning to wonder...

Do we have some kind of money laundering operation going on with Brighton ?

Or what was that cheat citeh scam ?

Commission payments going to an offshore bank account for every player we buy from one of the SD's old employers...

The Sun says:

https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/35625282/chelsea-paid-brighton-257m-transfers/

£275m - back in June!

Got to be over £300m now...

I have no idea who all these players are 😱

I do take a bit of comfort from the fact that Garnacho hasn't been confirmed.

From all the Brighton players we have been sniffing...why not Mitoma? He´s pure class + he plays our favorite position to buy!

Confirmed by the club.

Even as a fan of his I still have to accept this is a very strange signing.

I think there is a player in there and to be fair it’s a deal with little cost. He was on loan at Leicester last season and had a decent goal return and played 30+ PL games and he is a full international at 20 so clearly has something about him.

Not sure he will get a lot of game time but who knows particularly with Cole being injured

Can't pretend to know much about him, which position is he supposed to play in? It's bizarre that after one year loan at Leicester we decide to continue developing him for Brighton. This one and Enciso's mysterious second medical attempt pass sound a bit dodgy.

This is odd.

So we play him, he does well, we keep playing him, we like him, then we send him back to Brighton at the end of the deal. Then what ? they offer us him for 75 million.

or hes not suitable and we send him back and thats the end of the story.

He might be half decent but im guessing thats barely relevant.

We dont really do loan deals to improve other folks players, do we?

there must be something we dont know.

Putting the deal aside, the profile of AMs targeted by the SDs this window is interesting.

Ball carriers + high work rate + grafters rather than pure flair players; I think Enzo F's hybrid 8/10 position is in danger.

At least he looks like a sweet boy who buys his mum flowers, unlike Garnacho who looks like he smacks his mum with those flowers.

Now we can all wonder how much playing time he will get.

The theme tune for the Addams Family reminds me of witty little ditty us Chelsea fans used to sing at Old Trafford to Wayne Rooney.

"Your sister shags your brother,

Your brother shags your mother,

You all shag one another... the Rooney family"

Ah, good times.
