Favourite Abramovich Era victory over Arsenal?

A tossup between the Champions League win (which broke their hex over us) and the 2-1 under Robbie D when we played them off the park at the Emirates, we were absolutely fantastic that day.

Watched the CL game in the pub with my brother-in-law who is an Arsenal fan. Gave him loads of  stick. Spoke to my sister the next day and she told me that he was in a foul mood when he got home. She was killing herself with laughter.

A slight aside with games against Arsenal. Not a win but a 1-1 draw in December 2006. Essien's great strike from about 30 yards out. The way it curled into the net. Was in the MHU and had a great view.

There have been some top draws against them too. That Essien goal was amazing and we really should have won that game, I remember we dominated them that day.

There was also that great game at Highbury that was 2-2 neutrels must have really enjoyed that. Remember going mad when JT scored the best header of all time and mad in a different way when Henry took that quick freekick that shouldn't have been allowed.

Not sure if this is my favourite victory but sure is one of my favourite Chelsea over Arsenal moments

"Good-bye premiership, good-bye self-respect..." - Pretty much sums up Arsenal's last decade.

My favourite is the cl game closely followed by the 3-1 cup win in Luca Viallis firs game as manager.

There are just too many to choose from.

Mine is 2-0 at Highbury, 2005/2006 with Robben & Joe Cole getting the goals. It's at that point I really thought the domination they had over us was over.

The Vialli game was pre-Abramovich ;) but certainly one of the best. That Arsenal team we beat then went on to be Champions that year too.

I actually backed chelsea to win 2 nil that day

Also the one where there was a great pic of Almunia splattered across the goal after a close range Drogba score.
Are you talking about this goal?

Yeah Ammonia looks like a clown here

Such great wins however I'm going to go for the latest one.

So many factors about it and when it comes to the end of the season it could really be juicy, specalist in failure, 1000th game, kicking them out the title race and if Wenger actually does leave and this is his last game of the season then this game will have been that turning point. Also on the plus side I've always wanted to get one over on them arse holes for the 5-3 win at the bridge, thank you AVB you twat. This win was just so juicy, and I think it will be one of them ones where it will be looked back on at the end of the season when the talk is on Arsenal, especially if they don't win that F.A Cup.

Anyone else think that Drogba backheel goal against Arsenal is a very underrated  goal? His composure was awesome, we weren't even 1-0 up in the game and he just thought f**k it. Funny thing was that was Ashleys cross, he always loves to up his complete game when he plays Arsenal doesn't he.

Funny that you posted this. Everyone is trying to support le voyeur after the massacre, but in reality he started this mess & Jose finished it w/ a BIG FAT EXCLAMATION POINT. Sux to be him.

Definitely an underrated goal, it was a beautiful finish

Didn't even have to think about this one, CL game every day of the week, hadn't beaten them in a meaningful match for something like 9 years and gives us a good reason to tell them to shut up when they go on about the invincibles. I was at the final in Cardiff and the semi at Wembley, the 1st leg of the CL game and 2 of the league wins at home, but for sheer jumping around my front room like a lunatic Wayne Bridge night will always be top of the list for me.

I know we didn't win this match, but this goal from Crespo was simply marvelous

I'm glad that stupid woman who used to scream at every goal conceded isn't behind the arsenal goal any more.

Gotta be the Champions League!  The start of an era!  I remember my son was in hospital and we watched it on the ward - we were asked to be quiet by the nurses (no-one was desperately ill, it was a surgical ward, I hasten to add!) - Wayne Bridge's goal was never to be forgotten!
