Gabriel Jesus

But it is exactly like Jesus would start every game for us.

Dropping Mount into midfield and playing Jesus, Sterling and Havertz is a far more potent attacking line up than anything we can muster with the rest of our dross.

Jesus may have chose Arsenal but it certainly wasn't unrealistic that we could have signed him and we absolutely should have been in for him.
I get what you are saying but there are many times, where last season I thought to myself, why not try and change formation and getting a 4-2-3-1, (yes with Lukaku) up front but Tuchel continuously persisted with back 3 formation and he probably would do same again. But yeah although I get why people think we should have been in for him, I think he was sold by Arteta.

It is not to say it was a guarantee. I know we have UCL footy but Jesus has played with Arteta before and has credited him a lot and there is a huge Brazilian influence there too. Also, Havertz has had a slow pre-season but it is not as if Jesus would start every game ahead of him. Jesus is Arsenal's main man and like I say I think he relishes the chance playing under Arteta.
Sterling worked with Arteta too, and yet he came hee not there. We also have Silva, no bigger Brazilian legend left playing the game than him.

If we made a real push I am sure Gabriel Jesus would have come here.

Arsenal didn't go for Sterling. It was one or the other. I am not denying he could have come here but Arsenal had a clear plan for him. We on the other hand did not. Jesus did not even score that much goals last season with all the hype he is getting. I know, sometimes he played out wide but pretty sure Havertz outscored him last season.

As mentioned, he slots into Arsenal’s system like a glove and is suited to them - not us, he wouldn’t be doing this here. He’ll have a good season and score a lot, he’s still not ‘elite’ but he’ll light it up there in this style attack. We need to sort ourselves out before we go into the market for a striker again.

Are we going to hear this every time he scores?

Werner has just scored too.
Yes, because we missed a trick here and its utterly laughable reading some people's arguments suggesting we are apparently too good for him.

Also, coming from a poster who continues to defend Havertz' abysmal performances because he allows the team to be "free flowing", its a bit strange you are comparing Jesus to Werner.

I didn't really rate him that highly at City and was praying Pep was using him to replace Aguero (in 2017). I'm not going to suddenly start raving over him just because he's plays for Arsenal.

Also speaking of team dynamics, the reason Jesus became avaliable in the first place is because he couldn't get in a team with no other forward for that very reason.

Tbf both Werner and Jesus are far better than our current dross so there's a good chance.

Wouldn't surprise me to see them both hit over 20 this season.

I wouldn't put money on our forwards aside from Mount and Sterling scoring 10 league goals between then all season.

We missed out on Jesus. He was the absolute perfect fit for us.

Edit - Jesus has now scored as many league goals this season as Ziyech did in his 1st season with us and is also halfway to Pulisics average league goals per season across his entire career.

So its a criticism now that Jesus couldn't get ahead of Sergio Aguero?

He presses, is involved in the build up, has great movement off the ball, and makes things happen out of nothing. It was evident he would improve Arsenal tremendously and with the way our attack functions he would've slotted right in. Again, its makes no sense you defend Havertz's awful performances and display a level of arrogance towards Jesus.

Or Foden, or whoever Pep was using as false 9.
He's played more matches at CF than Foden, who both work well there considering they are involved in the build up and move the ball better. Something you are willing to die by the sword on with in your defence of Havertz's pathetic goal tally.

I have been watching the game Sconnie and the way Arsenal are set up and playing is completely different to us. There have been periods in that half, particularly the last 10 minutes, where there have been occasions where they have had just one centre-back and their keeper in their own half. Zinchenko has been their best player and has roamed all across the pitch. Tuchel would never play such a role fluid formation as that.

There is no different in the way Jesus performs than our current attacking set up. It's dynamic. He isn't ever in one place. He either gets involved in the build up or is making runs from either side.

Literally the same thing our front three is responsible in doing.

He literally had Chilwell and James basically as number 10s in possesion before their injuries.

We were playing so high at Everton one ball over the top led to Gray 1 on 1 vs Silva.

Fair enough criticising the attacking performances at times but the narrative Tuchel is a defensive manager is utter nonsense.

Again, disagree with you Argo. When Leicester scored to make it 3-2 there were 15 minutes left. Arteta and Arsenal continued to pour players forwards in numbers and that directly resulted in the fourth goal. TT would never have done that. We would have sat deep, try to keep possession and run the clock down.

Even now in this game 82nd minutes gone on my stream, and Arsenal had six players in the Leicester box on their last quick fire attack!

He did against the same opponents last season, and against Juve to name two.

Arsenal fans biggest criticism of Arteta is how he sits back and holds leads, some have even gone as far as to compare him to Pulis.

Can you post up the match reports?

You can swing this another way though. When Arsenal went 3-1 up, they could have taken the tempo out of the game and played out a comforable 3-1 win. By continuing to push on like they have, they let Leicester back in. Yes, they got the goal again straight after, but they can't keep doing that all season.
