nice one i was there but think it was a bit later than you ave  put , i guess 72-74?

 
Still got my tartan scarf somewhere, complete with 2 number chelsea badges sewen on and its original metalic blue fringe at each end. No one ever gave me any stick, it fitted in nicely with my family parental Scottish birth.

For some reason they were on sale from about 1972 from street sellers outside the bridge,just post butchers coats and about the same time as bib and brace blue workers wear. Early 70s woollen beanie Chelsea / celtic hats were on show at the bridge but didnt seen to be about for long.

As for Scarfs if the person who borrowed my red green an white scarf at Earls court during a major scirmish with spuds on the tube circa 1972 would kindly return it as promised that would be nice.

Never did ask you to return it in subsequent years, you know who you are.

Do you know if the fella CD now lives in canada ?

If so this was his flag in Munich

Hey im sure ive just remembered something..........I was in the SHED when ARSENAL were purposely put in there because of NORTHSTAND being demolished maybe?    When was that

 
Got another picture of Arsenal in the shed,bigger one of the bottom one i posted up i'll have to dig it out,got a write up of the Exeter riot some-where too when i went on Hicky coach,taken from the local exeter paper,some injuries that day on both sides as our coach took on a whole club including bouncers.Rumpole that picture is deffo 1969 but pretty sure Arsenal came in the shed the following year or the year you said.Was you talking about the yellow paint day.

not sure colour of the paint  but 1969 i was a ball boy then

 
kingy do you remember a black kid called julian or a fella called bread roll eric from bornemouth? so was the yellow paint maybe   72 -74 ish

 
Yellow paint definitely later than 1969, probably '72, '73 or '74 - remember it well apart from the year!

The Rendezvous was the club in Sutton, a contemporary of the Croydon Suite and The Orchid in Purley.

Not able to go to Sutton due to a few falling's out with the natives, to scared to go to the Croydon Suite but strangley enough had some good nights at The Orchid without problems.

There was a black geezer called justin who occasionally went on hickeys coach, had dreadlocks but under the big hat, he got nicked at lincoln once on the way back from grimsby.

 
Can't say i remember him mate,but useless with names,everyone was just mate,alright mate,going next week mate,black willie,and del the half cast i remember but like i said only went on hicky's coach twice.Exeter write up from their local paper.

I started going in 1971 with my uncle but it wasn't till 1975/76 season i started going home and away on my own,and not till 1979/80 onwards i started to know a few of the faces,got a couple of paper clippings from Man utd away in 1977,our first season back up,pretty sure hicky run a few coaches up there for that one,600 went up even though we were banned as it says at the bottom of the match report,and the manxs say we never done nothing up there..

1973 Derby away and on the pitch battle,got a load of paper clippings from the 70's onwards but pretty sure a load up been put up anyway but haven't seen this Derby one up before.Been to Derby about 6 times including the fa cup one,one where chelsea went into the popside,and once when we were sitting in a derby pub and the bloody game was called off.Good day out in Derby,can't remember them ever coming to the bridge in my time though.
