if you are signing Malouda, is it the end of Robben?

No problem.

On a slightly more serious note, Robben has always stated that he wants to stay at Chelsea, and his agent (father) has stated that Arjen wants to extend his contract.

The papers will tell you that Jose has 'become frustrated' with his constant injuries, and poor attitude; so i guess it just depends on what you want to believe.

I personally believe that he will stay.

He was happy to fight for his place when Duff was around, and i think he will do the same with Malouda.

it often doesnt matter what the player wants. You have shown from your activities so far that you are obviously looking to do something about the farce of 'self sutaining and profitable by 2010' by buying on the cheap so if serious money will have to be splashed on Malouda and Madrid are interested in Robben, i would have thought it makes sense. I hope he does go because my personal opinion is that he is a blight on the premiership.

See Elliott - thats the price you pay for going 'On a slightly more serious note'!!

I shouldn't really ask this Rob, but why exactly, do you feel he is a 'blight'

If you say diving, my hypocrisy siren will go off very VERY quickly...

take out the blight bit and the word farce then, and i think its a fair and debatable point. do you not think it is a sensible outcome and one that is likely to recoup what would be a good fee from robben given his injury record and lack of real impact in the last couple of years?

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwnnnnnnnnn

I dont think Malouda can stay a chance against a fit Robben. Even if some spoiled people dont see it. I really ask myself what Robben did to be hated by Chelsea fans.

Kenyon has come up with a non-denial denial regarding the future of Robbie - I reckon it's a way of keeping the price up. Once Malouda arrives clubs will be in with bids (Real, Juve maybe even Bayern), and the club won't resist them. Robbie does set up a lot of goals when he's available, but Jose's frustration at Anfield in January (when it was clear Robbie wanted out after getting clattered in the first 10 minutes) indicates that he feels we need someone who is a little stronger both physically and mentally. Great player though he is, I think he's on his way.

I don't think he's hated but alot of fans are really annoyed that he's injured all the time and many think that him diving is awful.

A fit robben without the diving is a dream come true.

the thing about robben is he is made of glass, hes selfish, hes a pussy, he dives, and he is rubbish when it comes to defending(i know he doesn't really need to be defending but, every player on the pitch should be able to put in a decent challenge, but arjen loves to just throw his two feet in and hope for the best) other than all of that he is a deadly winger, with great pace, great ball control, and a good eye for goal.
