Don't know much but he is a defender and was spotted at the Bridge today appears Man Utd have also agreed terms but Roman's influence will see him sign for us.

I know that he plays for Locomotiv Moskow, anad that he can play most positions accross the back. Anyone know anything about his prefered position, and his age?

here's what I learned after watching that youtube clip...

... it is utter stupidity to make a youtube highlights video of a defensive player.

- he can throw the ball in well

- he gets upset if he attempts to cross the ball and mis-hits it

- he can slide into people

- he can knock into people

- he can clang into people

- he can occasionally emerge from a scrum and kick the ball into the net

Worst youtube vid ever?

Well honestly, it's not easy to make a nice vid about a defender. Much easier to make one about a midfielder or a striker or someone who does nice things with the ball.

I bet even a vid about JT wouldn't be much to get excited about

Meant to be a more versatile Vidic. Can play anywhere along the back 4. Was Serbian U21 captain. Man Utd, Juventus, AC Milan and Real Madrid all sniffing around him. He's aged 23.

If he can turn out as Vidic and play anywhere in the defence then I would say this really is a good signing

By the look of that video clip, I would say he is a lot more likely to replace Ferreira.

Grant likes his fullbacks to really push up and support the attack, and every time Paolo tries to do this, he looks like a fish out of water.

 
if he'd replace ferriera, wouldn't he replace belleti too?

Okay, he's good looking enough to help Gem get over the loss of Lamps in the summer. So that's a start.

But he does seem like a right back, who can also play elsewhere across the back. But honestly, are we buying him as a right back (and thus not buying Alves, who we need) or is he just being bought as a utility back up defender? Happy to have him as a utility defender to replace Gentle Ben (off to Newcastle?), but we need a specialist right back more than anything else (in defence), as we haven't had one since Chappie. So I hope getting Ivanovik doesn't stop us buying one.

 
I don't see Berbatov coming to Chelsea...but...

I would rather get Van der Vaart and another midfielder for that price.
