January Transfer Window

I'll no doubt get pelted for this but i still believe all of the summer arrivals bar Auba and K2 will prove good signings.
Defining good signings is a debate in itself. Is their a criteria ?

Was Torres a good signing ?

Was Jorginho ?

Havertz ?

Anelka ?

Torres yes. Key role in winning CL and EL.

Jorgi no as he ultimately does not suit the league.

Havertz no so far. Depends on how he leaves.

Anelka yes imo.

Havertz scored a CL final winning goal.

Anelka missed a CL final penalty.

One fans "good signing" is another fans "bad signing".
Havertz did, and has been living off it since.

Anelka did indeed, JT missed the more costly one. Did it tarnish his legacy?

I don't disagree, but you see my point, what does a good signing look like? If it's just a binary good or bad it's difficult to call with a lot of players.

Is a legend a good signing ? or a fantastic signing ?😎 We need to break it down to fantastic, then, good, then we get to mediocre, then terrible and finish off with complete nightmare signings. Five categories 2 positive, 2 negative, and one neither positive or negative.

Fantastic = JT, Lamps,...etc

Good = Anelka, Ballack...etc

Mediocre = Torres, Kalou

Terrible = Bakayoko, Saul

Complete nightmare = Lukaku, Mutu,
