Those of you blaming the board for not backing him this summer, Jose was happy with his squad, he said so, he said before the window opened he wanted to remain loyal to those who had won the title, he said there would only be one or two going out and coming in.

Jose Mourinho was happy with his squad. Sure, he might have wanted Stones and Pogba, who wouldn't, and we tried to get them but they were ambitious targets.

Costa, Remy and Falcao were his preferred choices. He doesn't rate Remy and Falcao's a crock. Are we going to say these strikers were foisted upon him, like Shevchenko?

Mourinho was backed, 100%, from the start, he sold who he wanted and he bought who he wanted, so long as we could get them. He had stability, he had control, he had a good operational framework and a long term contract. There was no interference. The fans loved him.

Edit: This one's on him, though some of you remain delusional.

I've agreed with you all the way on this Chippy, but in the end I feel this is best for both parties!

Something is very wrong with Jose at the moment, he's just not the same person as before.
A lot of people on here who's I opinions I respect feel the same SP, that won't make me feel any better when I think you're all wrong.

Because he's been sacked it doesn't vindicate all the crap that's been spouted about him or make the decision right, Romans just repeated another mistake.

Enjoy the site and the groups of "fans" who joined up to post the same old tripe about him and believe all the media bullsh*t, enjoy the next manager for a few months before the same thing starts again.

This club has no soul.

Some truth in that Davey but that's not even nearly the whole story of the summer.

Jose clearly didn't want the guys that we got lumped with like the championship player and French nobody. That was an insult to him IMO.

Sorry Chippy.....he was his own worst enemy.  I like you am sad to see him leave but when you can't manage people no matter how good you think you are, the majority will always win.

Have Liverpool become so irrelevant that there fans are only interested in what happens to us?

why do people keep replying to the trolls. sad c**ts the lot of em. i'm glad i have a life otherwise i would be signing up to opposition football team forums for my daily amusement.

So far you're posts have had me blind, a kidder and delusional, tell me all knowing one, how do you get a hat to fit with all the knowledge you've got in that head?

Gutted but was expecting him to be given the boot quite a few months ago so not really surprised.

Hope Cesc, Costa, Pedro, Falcao and Ivan are next on the list. CFC to start with a clean slate.

Should have left it till the end of the season but hard to criticise the board as they were very patient.

Hopefully they have a better plan than Juande Ramos

Celestine Babayaro to be part of the new backroom staff.

We need great players like this to make the team better again.

I agree with most of this, apart from the delusional part.

I hope the likes of Hazard, Costa, Oscar, Cesc and so on sleep well tonight knowing they have just ousted the best manager in world football.

Classless charlatans the lot of them.

Way too many threads now!!

I will stick to the original. Sad but not totally unexpected. I hate the idea that there will be folk opening a bottle of wine tonight having a smug & satisfied grin on their face - Wenger and FSW are two and probably Eva is another. But sad as it is and yes you can blame a lot of the players, but he has to look at himself and question how & why he so badly lost the reigns somewhere along the way.

A sad day, without getting in to it, all I can say is thanks for the memories, I hope he goes on to have success with his next club, he's a legend and he won't be forgotten.
