Krzysztof Piatek (Genoa)

Can’t stop scoring; seems Milan have bought the 2 next biggest stars in Paqueta & Piatek.

 
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we get a year and a half of ok-ness from Higuain and then end up bidding 90 million pound for Piatek and losing out to Madrid or City.

 
The last thing we needed was another unproven/high potential striker. We needed a sure thing and we have that with Higuain. Once he's been here for a year or two then we can look at getting the likes of Piatek for rotation. 

 
Not getting carried away by Higuain just yet, let’s see where we are at the end of Feb.

Whatever happens from now on till the end of the season, the club needs a long term plan or 2. Personally for me would have cleared the books, and signed both Jovic & Piatek as  long term solutions.

 
4 goals in the last 3 for Milan, and 9 goals in the last 10 games. 

 
Everyone knows he is a talented striker but Sarri wanted someone who he knows how to work with, this signing in Sarri's eyes would have been a bigger gamble.

 
Piatek turned down real Madrid to sign for Milan. I doubt we could've gotten him here.

They bought him for about £30m it’s hardly a massive amount of money like Morata was. Christ, we paid more for Bakayoko.

Our short term approach is ridiculous. We loaned Higuain to give us a fighting chance for top 4, as things stand and if things continue this way can’t see it happening. Seems like another money down the drain.

Frankfurt have a £6m option to sign Jovic permanently, which appears they will do in the summer and demand £60m for him. I reckon they would have snapped our fingers for £30m in Jan. 

Makes you wonder why we couldn’t clear the deck in Jan and sign both Piatek & Jovic for £60m, and sorted our issues permanently. Tell you what Sarri wanted Higuain.

 
Just like last season, Chelsea got into a 3 way deal and came out the worst, again! I woudn't be surprised if we sign Callum Wilson for 60M in July, then he get injured for 6 months. The curse of the striker at Chelsea.

 
Piatek would be fantastic for Chelsea ! Problem is, Pulisic has been already bought and we desperately need to keep a hold of Hazard ... Also, as good ole Dutch would say : WE NEED MONEY (and a plan).

He’s got a plan, Arthur! He just needs money! One more big score and we’re done. 

Not that it matters, we can’t sign anyone for two windows so might as well close the rumours section  :rolleyes:
