Leon Bailey

Sorry for not elaborating, not that I'm an expert but he seems to have good dribbling skills and pace to burn - but I don't really see what else he has to offer (i.e. strength, passing ability, finishing... something that suggests he has the ability to become world class). I may be wrong.
I totally agree with your points.  I don't know nothing about the lad hard to tell from Youtube, but I'm tired of every kid with skillz and a bit of pace touted as the next big thing.   First and foremost to have any chance of making it as a top level footballer you need a football brain, a vision of the pitch, and eye for a pass.  Knowing where to run, whether making runs to receive the ball or create space for others.   Also finishing if you're going to be an attacker you need to be able to finish.

Zaha is faster and probably a better dribbler than Sanchez, but the gulf between the two is massive, and what happened when Zaha went to a big club?  Some players look great on Youtube clips taking on 2-3 players on the break in lower level games, but when playing for a big team against a pack defence they just run to the corner then pass back to the full back.  This guy could be the next big thing, we do have to try to find a superstar, however running fast isn't a skill, its a nice thing to have, but not the main thing we should look for.

can we try and land him this window and get the deal done with transfer in summer before anyone else jump the race and increase the price , the guy is good can be real helpful for us

He is like a mini Robben, would be too good to be true so I suspect it won't happen.

He has massively improved this season as well and looks well on his way to reaching the highest levels.

so lets say we lost Hazard for the £100 -£150 + Bale that's reported, Swapped Bats for Pulisic & took Bailey too (especially as he may qualify/play for England).... I wouldn't be screaming at that. Admittedly losing HAzard would be awful but if he decided he wanted to leave and we had to replace that's not a bad group to bring in.

I don't know enough about this kid. Another expensive hype job? I heard the club has been following him since he was 15/16; he's been pictured in a chelsea shirt when younger and apparently wants to play for us.

He's plays the same position as Hazard, absolutely not needed. For f**ks sake just start slowly integrating Hudson-Odoi, Bailey is only a couple years older anyway. Save ourself 60m. I would rather we got for Mahrez as he's got more to him and experience in the PL.

Enigma your absolutely right that he plays LM for Bayer Leverkusen, but his ideal position is RW; thus the comparisons to Robben and the interest from Bayern Munich. That left foot of his can really do us wonders on that aging right side; but 60M seems much too steep. Honestly I think it may come down to Martial vs Bailey...but given our history and current financial situation I think we'll probably end up with Shaqiri

On another note do you guys think Bailey is ready for the responsibility of regular first team football for a top club. Don't get me wrong, the guy is raw talent with amazing pace, dribbling, and a monster of a left foot...but I think he still needs a couple more years to work on his end product and to improve his "read" of the game. Teams like Bayern and Madrid can afford that because they still have other talent to work with while also providing him with ample game time to develop his game. That is something that no team in the Prem can provide given the competition and especially in our case I think we are looking for a player to start in front of Willian, rather than for someone to sub in for Willian.

The most reliable journo for Bayern.

And from what I read, a lot of Bayern fans thought before he reported this, Leverkuzen won't sell to Bayern. Don't know what was the story there.
