As if there wasn't enough motivation for today's game.

RIP Ossie, a class act on and off the field, and a model of what a professional footballer should be.

5 years already, time does fly. Its a shame such a great bloke died so young, he was awesome. I'm unfortunately too young to have watched him when he played but I have seen many highlights of him and this guy was pure class. RIP.

 
absolutely one off legend......................couple stories to example that;

Away match league cup early seventies at mancity (fink it was them)..............ossie got subbed, through a strop with sexton and refused to get on the coach - we spotted him walking around from the ground on his tod, offered him a lift but he said he was ok

Second, day before league cup final 1972, 5 a side kick about at SB car park/entrance - ossie got fouled (think it was chopper) and ossie went bonkers, through some punches and had to be held back

And last, spotted ossie leaving SB early 2001, asked for an autograph and he was top class, stood chatting for about 10mins - top bloke

And then there was his football - classy on the ball, bit spikey (ask bigjack charlton), lazy (well bit harsh maybe), but always scored in big games and never let us down

Aren't many clubs who have a KING.............but we have one
