anyone pi*sed off with utd's double standards? they are one of the worst at bitching to the ref and yet here they are smugly saying 'he had to go, can't have dissent'...of course the fact fergie had been mouthing off to the press couldn't have affected bennett at all?
I think utd will win the title, but I don't think they're that good...ferdinand and vidic are a good partnership at the back, rooney has his moments and ronaldo scores every week, but they have won many games without playing that well...it's covered as they're a great side, although when we do it, we're grinding out results etc fact is without ronaldo, who actually doesn't dribble past anyone these days, just has a great knack of scoring goals, they'd be in big trouble...they've had no injury problems at all this season...rooney out for a few weeks and maybe scholes, gary neville, but then he's sh*te, but that's it.

Rooney has talent but too inconsistent , reminds me of Gazza. Take Ronaldo out of the side and they'd struggle. Giggs past it, Rio can be guilty of moments of madness and if you put it up to them they can fall apart.
As for the sending off , absolutely spot on , stupid w**ker , never shut up after he was booked , if it was one of our players i'd want to kill the c**t.
Anyway, after our GREAT result , i'd love for that game to have endd up differently but watching the reaction of Fat bar steward , the players, seeing Rena making a clown of himself and just seeing their season get worse, its a good Sunday overall.

I think Bennett was reacting more to the press overage of the Ashley Cole incident then he wwas to anything Fergie said in the match build up. Seemed to me like he decided he wasn't going to be the next ref in the paper being criticised for putting up with mouthy players.
I actually applaud him for it. If that could set a standard that every ref follwoed from now on the game would be a much much better for it. Unfortunately it is unlikely that that will happen and there will be ongoing inconsistency.

On the subject of delusional, have you heard the lardy fat Spanish gay icon defending Mascherano? Can you imagine the stick Jose especially, but even nowadays, anyone connected with Chelsea FC would have got from the press if they had dared to question such a decision in such a manner? "None of the players could understand it ... ", "all he did was this ... all he did was that", "before the sending off we were comfortable".
And yet does anyone raise a word in protest at this blatant bollox? Do they f**k. In fact according to Alvin Martin, the lardy arsed git's comments ... struck the right balance. Right.Whatever you say you smarmy scouse git.

Watched the highlights on MOTD last night and okay, they were only highlights but as Gem says, where was Gerrard?
I know JT gets loadsa stick for getting involved at times, but as captain, why didn't Gerrard go up to that stupid f**king Argie and have a word? It was a red card waiting to happen and could so easily have been avoided if they had a skipper that had half a brain. Not onlyy that but I don't think I saw him touch the ball.
And there are those still calling for him to be England Captain.
