Matic

Now you can see why we get linked to Kessie, Bakayako (whatever his name is) plus others. Dont think Conte is keen on him either. 

 
I think what bothered me most about yesterday was his complete lack of effort. Not being on form is one thing, but he looked like he couldnt be arsed. Several times he got beaten and just decided to jog or walk back. Never thought Id say it, but he made me miss Mikel

All 3 dont have enough game time to warrant a start against United. We would be throwing them to the lions with a Mourinho team. Also, the nature of the position puts more pressure on them not to make a mistake as that will put the defenders in a lot of pressure. Had we given these 3 enough time, esp Chalobah in the DM position then it would be a good idea to bring him on.

Do we really have to sell him? As was said by numerous people on other threads one of the biggest complaints about our squad is that we don't utilise or have depth. Fine if we get Bakayoko (btw there are probably better alternatives) but if he can't play then somebody like Matic seems like just the kind of player that would be suited to replace him

Not sure about bakayoko. Surely we should be trying hard for nainggolan. Matic and kante in midfield gives us no creativity at all.

That was my reaction when I saw Matic scoring. I hope Matic stays strong for the rest of this season 

 
Matic seems like the epitome of a confidence player, hopefully that goal gave him enough boost to get through the season.

 
Matic has been awful for months, luckily for him it has been the same period as Costa so he has got away with it to a certain extent.

Fabregas plays a couple of games then we don't see him again. His got to be pissed off. I thought Matic plays because his good defensively? His hardly good at that and doesn't create anything going forward. 

 
Wish matic would shoot more. He has a great left foot when he uses it. Problem with him is he doesn't provide enough offensive work in midfield alongside kante.

That would be easy because one goal doesn't suddenly make him look like a creative genius. Most of his shooting has been awful and he isn't great offensively. His meant to play to make Chelsea better defensively but I struggle to see that most of the time.
