Matic

So that is twice this year that a player has tried to snap Matic's leg in half. I bet no punishment is given to the other player again though.

 
Matic should still keep his cool. Hazard gets twice as much abuse to his legs tbh. Matic' legs are bambi-like so it looks bad. Serbia had already lost the plot in the qualifications so they just acted out.

Hazard get's fouled a lot but he hasn't had players trying to break his legs.

 
Came on and changed the game for good today. I'm still thinking he wasn't that bad, but I will forget all that critic towards him and facing a new start. Today he showed a good performance, I hope to see him starting with RLC. 

 
I'm glad he played well today. We were a lot more defensively assured and organised in the second half.

At least this'll put those rumours about him being unhappy to rest.

 
Funny, I remember Matic getting a red and it being upheld for doing what Richardson did to Costa,  Only difference is that Matic did it in response to a leg breaking challenge and not some petty sh*t.  I await with baited breath to see the FA do absolutely f**king nothing.

 
I thought we saw old Matic today. Harrying, covering. It felt a bit like he had rediscovered beast mode.

It did help that the team defended as one for the first time this year. Ramires was excellent leading the pressing.

Richardson didn't raise his hands to Costa.

It was more like the chest bump gave to Koscielny, I've got no problems with it personally. 

 
Was delighted to see such a marked improvement in his performance last night. I don't know if it's improved fitness or having such an energetic/on-form partner next to him in Ramires but our midfield looked more solid than it has done all season. Hope this continues as Payet has been a monster this season.

 
Was it his right foot that he missed the gaping goal with?

The guy won't touch the ball with his right foot usually. He couldn't have picked a worse time to try it :biggrin:

Seriously though, i don't get how a professional footballer can be so 1 footed, it's a pretty serious weakness i think.

 
I think Matic is a bit thick.

Two weeks, two sending offs and for pathetic reasons. Seems to lack a brain cell when playing at times, gets sent off so stupidly.

Would love to see José publically fine him a weeks wages for his stupidty today.

If we sign Pogba, Matic can have some major bench time.

Agreed with this his actions were stupid. But then the boss confounds it all and gets himself sent to the stands. We at present are a professional club run like a Sunday League outfit from top to bottom. Everyone needs to look at themselves and ask can I do better?
