Matic

Completely deserved red card. Took one for the team, second one was asking for it.

What was he laughing at when he was sent off? Was a stupid challenge and the ref was within his rights to book him. He got away with another challenge in between the two yellows. It was like he was trying to get himself sent off.

Pathetic and unprofessional. His time is up and I think he knows it.

The guy won't touch the ball with his right foot usually. He couldn't have picked a worse time to try it

Seriously though, i don't get how a professional footballer can be so 1 footed, it's a pretty serious weakness i think.
Ashley Cole was the same, I guess it didn't hinder him too much but it frustrated me to no end.

Bit harsh tbh!!3months ago i wouldnt be able to name a DM in the world better than him, if that foul was a utd player at old trafford he would have been warned and that is it

Looking at both of his fouls, he deserved to be sent off.

Can't really blame him for his first yellow as that West Ham counter came from the ball-on-goal line corner and we were still getting back to our positions. He had to take one for the team.

However, he was reckless for his second even when he was already on a yellow. Pretty stupid IMO.

I think Matic's return to form is crucial for the team to return to normality. With Matic being in form, the defence is better protected.

All the more reason to play RLC.

Matic is not in form and stupid fouls like this and getting himself sent off puts us at a major disadvantage with over 45 mins of play still left to be played. In fact i am not even happy about the 1st yellow. HE should have let the play continue - We have Begovich on goal and the attacker still has to get past our defenders.  And if after all that he still scores - We still have over 45 mins to score 2 goals.

We all want RLC to play but there does seem to be a question mark over his positional and defensive play. Until he convinces Jose that he can be trusted, I don't think he will play.

Truth is, we DESPERATELY need Matic to find some form.

Stupid way to get sent of. Referee's decision was correct, we were more angry that the referee changed his mind after the WestHam players pursued the case. Our players just look so frustrated and agitated this season. In Matic's position, you need to cool head or your risk 1 too many bad tackles, and the team is paying for that. I think still our best chance against liverpool is with him back in the team, maybe RLC beside him?

Rumours that he wants to leave the National team.
Not rumours, he's quoted as saying it. him, the manager and the director as far as im aware are all considering quitting because of the attitude of the majority of the squad

article here: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/4961/international-football/2015/11/14/17326962/matic-slams-serbia-team-mates-ill-quit-if-things-dont-change

quotes: "I always try to lead by example but some people don't want to see that," he told reporters.

"The attitude of some players is unacceptable, not just on the pitch but off it too and it was obvious from the moment we got together on Monday.

"I told our coach [Radovan Curcic] there is no point in me carrying on with the national team if things don't change."

That is sad. Branna and Matic both suffering there. Can't help but wonder if that factors to both of their performances this season for Chelsea.

Suspended for the first leg of out knock our stages. Not good!

What the hell happened to him? He looked like the best DM in the world when we signed him, almost single handedly breaking up all attacks in midfield, now he can't tackle or prevent counters, does these blind back passes to where he *thinks* a player is which plays the opponents in.

All he does now is attack like a pseudo number 10, but his starting position is in deep and doesn't fully commit to the box while he's up there, so neither here nor there and leaving us short in both ends.

I don't think we should get rid, but boy does he need an extended break to sort himself out.

quite simple really, he doesn't see himself as DM so the goes the commitment and desire..
