Cech - 6 - Made some good saves. Mistake for 3rd goal, but we had already lost by that point.

Cole - 5.5 - Meh.

Luiz - 5.5 - Not too bad, but dodgy on occasions

Cahill - 4 - Very poor

Ivanovic - 5.5 - Did okay, but didn't offer much going forwards

Ramires - 6 - Beaten too easily for the first goal, unlucky with yhe deflection for the 2nd, but at least he drove us forward on occasion and showed some spirit

Mikel - 2 - Non existant for most of the game. Gave the opposition acres of space between our midfield and defence, time and time again.

Azpilicueta - 6 - Did well defensively, crossing was poor, but didn't have much to aim at

Oscar - 6 - Great run to set up Hazard, faded though

Mata - 5 - Never got into it

Hazard - 6 - Did his best to lead the line, but didn't stand a chance with all those long balls hoofed up to him.

Subs:

Moses - 5.5 - Didn't see much of the ball.

Torres - 5 - Did literally nothing

RDM - 3 - Went for the gamble, got it badly wrong. With Sturridge injured, Torres probably should have played, simply because if we were going to play long balls all evening like we did, he could have headed a few.

Torres was man of the match from at least another view,I think he is the man that creayed the whole negative spiral...

With another striker (even not a topclass) we could burried all the games where we lost points in the pemier league and than matteo was not a confused manager today etc ...

It is all about torres,and WTF about his pace when he came on..unrespectfull for Chelsea and all the lads that supported him last year.

Oscar and Luiz were the best players on the pitch for Chelsea.

Luiz? Are you sure? He wasn't the train-wreck at the back he normally is but he still wasn't good by any stretch of the imagination. Take a look at the second goal for example. Could he have stood any further off Vuconic or whatever his bloody name is. He pratically held up a sign-post and invited him to cut inside.

Our defence and the supposed cover playing in front of the defence were absolutely shocking. We conceded 3 but it could easily have been double that as Juve looked dangerous every time they approached our box.

Cech made some great saves early on but thought he should have done better on two of the goals and his distribution was again dreadful.

Mata, Hazard and Oscar is great when it works but when teams suss them out they look like little boys lost. Oscar was the pick and he was brilliant in the first half but he faded completely in the second along with the rest.

You have to question the role of Mikel in a huge important game like last night. He did okay first half and carried the ball forward a bit but surely his main role last night was to give protection to the defenece? There was no protection whatsoever and Juve just skated through time after time. The "double pivot" just ain't working and has to be scrapped - even if that means also doing away with one of our three matadors.

I'll give MOTM to Ramires, who also made mistakes, but still showed more than anyone else and lasted the 90 minutes still looking like he had something left in the tank.

I don't like to say this but Torres admitted last season he didn't care if Chelsea won or lost i think he has gone into the same mindset

Cech got my vote. He showed safe hands all night really. First two goals were sh*tty deflections after he'd already jumped. Third goal didn't matter and he was left going solo and it didn't pay off. Feel sorry for him more than anything, our defence is non-existent lately. Ramires a close second on effort alone.

Hazard for me was our worst player. Not exactly out of position and it was a big ask, but he goes down every time rather than use his skills to round a player. Getting tired of seeing that in matches. He also doesn't do enough defensively. Perhaps he's lost a bit of eagerness because everyone's talking about Mata and Oscar? I'm sure he'll adapt to the English game though and become a class player.

I don't think Petr could have done much better with the first 2. Ramires may have cared but he let runners drift by him too often for me.

I don't think anyone deserves a MOTM.

The problem was not in front of the ball but why they got the shot off in the first place. Luiz is the only player who consistently closes the ball down, the problem is no one provides the cover when he moves, this is all down to organisation and the team moving as a unit NOT Luiz.

Watch Cahill last night he just didnt know what to do. Give me Luiz anyday, he may get things wrong occasionally but so does JT and any FB. Guy has been made a real scape goat and had a good game last night pity so many fail to see it.

Oh Ramires closes the ball down as well but everyone else stands off, just cannot do that.

Probably Oscar, only player who knows how to press effectively. If only the rest could follow his lead.

Ramires did well attacking wise but wasn't great defensively, think he was trying a bit too hard at times which is somewhat understandable seeing as his partner was Mikel.
