Ashley Cole was exceptional today. Drogba was close behind.

Frank played well and could/should have got on the score sheet but I'm still a bit confused with why he is playing so far forward. I know it is supposed to be tip of the diamond, but for most of the game we were more or less 4-3-3 and I would have just pushed Malouda forward and left Frank on the left of midfield where he does his best work.

Overall a super win after a shaky start.

Both full backs were superb, but Ashley just shaded it, not just for his goal, all round he was again immense, (who is William Gallas???)

I've always been a massive Drogba fan and he's playing as well as ever this season.

Just wish he'd stop his theatrics though. There was one incident today when JT "helped" him to his feet when he was making the most of a foul. I thought it was great captaincy by JT.

Agree totally , he's got every quality a world class centre forward needs and theres not a player in the world as good as him when he's in form.

Id give MOTM to Drogs closely followed by Ashley , if Ash keeps playing like this for the rest of the season he HAS to be voted footballer of the year and i wouldn't rule Drogs out either.

Drogba for me. He made the Spurs defence look like a complete laughing stock. I sincerely hope he's alright, because we're going to be f**ked otherwise.

very good game for Drogba, Bosingwa and JT aswell, Essien looked a lot better than he did against Porto so lets hope he is soon back to his best.

Drogba...

Cole was great as well but that game could easily have been a 0-0 if it wasn't for the drog... Dominated the game, scored one and had a massive hand in both the others he pounded against the spurs deffence making room for others.. real match winner today and has been all season... hope the injury is not seriouse

Playing the way we are, Lampard is not going to get the goals we normally expect of him however that shouldn't necessarily be used to prove he is not playing as well. He is still contributing a lot to the team, we may just have to get used to the fact that he is going to do the job that midfielders normally do rather than doing it as well as doing the job of a support striker.

thats exactly the point i made a few weeks ago in a thread i created, lampard isnt going to be our main goals option along with drogba anymore, but hes still gonna play a very important p-art in the team. if we can spread the goals about more than the last few seasons then surely thats a good thing?

MOM for me was once again ash cole, its getting a bit boring now.

Voted for Drogba. The man was unstoppable. His cross that Cole headed in really started the onslaught. Give Bosingwa an honorable mention here, thought he played great.

Overall, a good day for the team. The only negative is Drogba's injury. Hope all is well there.

It might be one of those things you miss when you're at the game, but I actually thought, assist aside, that Didier had a very quiet first half by his standards. Still a worthy contender for MOTM as he ran them ragged in the second half and you can't argue with a goal and an assist, but Ash still was head and shoulders the star man for me.

Had to laugh a bit when I found out that Drogs only had cramp at the end of the game. By all means it bloody hurts, but I think we were fearing a LOT worse when he was carried off. I don't want to see him anywhere near the squad on Wednesday though, as keeping him fit and healthy for the season will be the difference between trophies or not.
