But that ignores the fact we had got an offer from a Blue Chip company that the premier league blocked, we then maybe had a bit of a scramble but thats hardly the owners fault to get blocked for such a ridiculous reason.Clearly the Club has gone for the highest bidder in a vain attempt to replace the Champions League income. In reality it shows just how far the Club has fallen in the pecking order, when no Blue Chip, or Global brands wishes to sponsor our shirts. Can't blame them really, very little exposure for them. I also expect Sky to drop us down the Saturday and Sunday games listings unless we are playing one of the Big 4 !! I am somewhat ashamed that the Club has chosen a bookmaker, when gambling addiction is a fast growing disease for young men in this and other Countries. Boehly and by definition, Clearlake are making a mess of just about everything that they touch at present, surely Clearlake has a really top level exec on its Board that would be a far safer pair of hands for Chelsea ????
I hadn't heard about the Paramount deal until this morning. I thought it was going to be (tight-fisted) Allianz. I can't honestly see why the FA consider Paramount to be true competitors of Sky Sports or TNT (BT) sounds like yet more anti-Chelsea rhetoric to meBut that ignores the fact we had got an offer from a Blue Chip company that the premier league blocked, we then maybe had a bit of a scramble but thats hardly the owners fault to get blocked for such a ridiculous reason.
Being totally honest, it actually smells like the type of thing we'd spin to get the fans onside with us being sponsored by a betting company.I hadn't heard about the Paramount deal until this morning. Couldn't care less who sponsors us as long as they pay us a hefty fee. We had a Russian oligarch own us for 2 decades and i'd take him back in a heart beat. Not our responsibility if people can't choose not to waste their money gambling. If more people knew what Stake.com and the likes are up to there would be genuine disgust that we are going to facilitate and promote such a company. Personally I would rather sign zero players this summer than soil the club by association with this junk.
Even Twitch (who were making major money off them) banned them for luring minors into their Casinos.
Jakub, who asked not to share his last name for fear of career repercussions, says that when he was 13 he went on one of the sites and won a $200 knife. He was too young to withdraw the money and promptly gambled it away.
Eventually, the site he was using morphed into a crypto casino. When he was 16, Jakub saw a Twitch streamer promoting Stake and moved his online gambling habit there. Now, the resident of the Czech Republic says he logs onto Stake almost every day, gambling in series of $50 buy-ins. If he wins big, he buys computer parts or shoes. Mostly, he says, he loses to the tune of $1,000 to $1,500 a month.
Although crypto-gambling has been a heavy presence on Twitch for over a year, it’s now attracting more viewers—and more controversy—than ever.
Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo, another top Twitch personality, who became known through his entertaining World of Warcraft livestreams, says he has been offered $19 million per year to gamble live on Twitch in front of his enormous audience. Although Rinaudo has gambled on Twitch in the past, he now believes that it is morally questionable to do so. Last year, Rinaudo saw one of his fans, who was 14 at the time, gambling on a site that he’d promoted.
“I stopped because I just felt genuinely bad,” Rinaudo told Bloomberg.

Excellent point !!Being totally honest, it actually smells like the type of thing we'd spin to get the fans onside with us being sponsored by a betting company.
I wonder if they even asked Sky/BT if they would be upset about it ?I hadn't heard about the Paramount deal until this morning. I thought it was going to be (tight-fisted) Allianz. Wasn't Paramount Inter's shirt sponsor? BT didn't seem to mind that being on the shirt in the CL final.I wonder if they even asked Sky/BT if they would be upset about it ?
I'd have insisted on some sort of proof either way rather than rely on some old fuddy duddy bureaucrat at the FA having "concerns" ...
There you go then ... if they aren't going to object to it in the biggest club fixture of the season, why on earth would they be bothered about a team in 12th in the PL LOL.Wasn't Paramount Inter's shirt sponsor? BT didn't seem to mind that being on the shirt in the CL final.
I am not sure they had anything on their shirts, did they?Wasn't Paramount Inter's shirt sponsor? BT didn't seem to mind that being on the shirt in the CL final.
Wait until you see what we'll end up with because of the premier league...:it's actually one of the nicer sponsors visually imo
Hopefully not with that badge!!
