Newcastle United vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 11th May 12:00 GMT

This weekend will decide a lot who’s in the driving seat for CL.

Bournemouth v Villa (tricky game for them)

Forest v Leicester (surely a win for Forest)

If we lose, we hand the advantage to Forest who have West Ham and us to play.

 
Everything about that game tells me we're going to lose. This Chelsea team has neither mental strength nor experience to stand up to an in form Newcastle team at their ground where we regularly struggled even when we had better players/manager and plenty of experience and winning mentality.

If Maresca and Co can pull off a surprise and get a win, I may start to change my mind about the man and his managing ability.

This is set up to be some game win this and we are in third, need to make it happen and all of a sudden looks like a different season than a few weeks ago

Results elsewhere now mean we cannot finish lower than 7th.

So even if we lose all our remaining 3 league games, and the conference league final, we will at least make it back in to the conference league again, or Europa if City beat Palace in the FA Cup final.

The only possible plus is it might suit our travelling fans better but when have they ever been taken into account ? It's a ridiculous kick off time.

At least we can look on the bright side whatever happens.

We lose remaining 3 games, surely that’s Maresca sacked. We win 3 games, we qualify for champions league.

It doesn’t matter how the season ends, we’ll be having a party either way!

Yes Jackson is useless

Yes Maresca should have played anyone else up front.

Yes we would have been better off with 10 men

Yes he was a major factor in us not winning

Yes he under performed his xg

Early one! 7am here. Haven’t had this anticipation before a match for some time.

My mind keeps saying we never travel well there, early kick off, young team. My heart says something special is coming back!

Early kickoff is a massive bonus for Chelsea and these things really help away teams, I'm going for a draw.

He actually had a decent 10 mins against newcastle earlier in the season - one of his better games - so i am quietly optimistic.

I think he will score a hatrick and be man of the match
