Thanks Cam, I'm watching it right now on TV and it looks dead good. I've always been a traditional skier and didn't really approve of snowboards, but I think I'd love to try snowboard cross some time!

You probably mean the Elfstedentocht, the Eleven City Tour. It's about 200 kilometers long, only held on rare occasions (it takes a Big Freeze to make the ice thick enough throughout the course). Finishing the Elfstedentocht means being a big national hero, let alone winning it. Of course I don't skate :D

I'm one of the handful Norwegians :D I thought Håvard Bøkko would have a good chance until they fired coach Peter Müller right before the Olympics for sexual harassment on Maren Haugli... Now Bøkko just seems lost. Congrats on Kramer by the way :D

Thanks. Yes, she was great. It's the first time I watched her skiing and she got the gold. Might watch her everytime now :rolleyes:

Tonights it's figure skating and I can't wait for it to start. Will of course keep my fingers crossed for the swede Adrian Schultheiss, but I don't think he'll stand a chance. If he finish top 10 it'll be good enough. Top 5 would be more than I hoped for.

 
Kalla (Swedish Gold Medalist) is a very nice looking girl.....tempted to go visti Sweden :)

 
And the puck drops in the first hockey game with Team Canada.

The games have now officially begun :)

 
Ya I dont watch the early rounds of womens hockey. Not sexits, just Canada's womens team always beats every country cept USA?USSR by atleast 15 goals.....be like watching Chelsea take on your local high school team :)

Edit: And Jarome Iginla (my favourite EVER NHL player and capt of my NHL team) scores a hattrick in Canada's 8-0 win over Norway!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Bøkko and his sister had hired Mueller privately? He was in the stands during the last European Championships, and the Dutch commentators mentioned he still coached them in some capacity, but not allowed on the track. I love Mueller by the way, he did some wonderful coaching in Holland, he's made quite a few champions for us, and I think he did well to guide the Norwegian skaters back after some lean years.

Well, they did hire him as a privat coach, but the Norwegian skating federation and current coach Johan Olav Koss (twats) wasn't too happy about this and made a hell of a lot of fuzz about it. My fear is that this have and it hard for HÃ¥vard and his sister Hege to focus on the preperation for the Olympics and also made it hard for them to have Mueller as a private coach. The timing of his sacking couldn't have been worse. A couple of months before the Olympics ;) I have nothing but admiration and respect for Peter Mueller for the way he brought pride and passion back into Norwegian skating.

 
Congrats Norway to the gold!

Im really angry right now that Vancouvers time zone is so far behind, having to stay up to 1:30 am today for Swedens first hockey game against Germany, grr and school the day after aswell :)
