I don't really see the issue, aslong as they keep up their end of the bargain and keep themselves fit and available for selection.

 
Too many!!!!! For me Bogarde , didn’t even live here for the last part of his contract. He was on 50,000£ for five years. I was in the canteen at harlington after training and he sat on his own eating not mixing with anyone.

 
Chris Sutton was probably the worst.

Used to be a bloke in the east stand, top tier, sitting in front of me with a replica shirt, on the back was:

Difficult to argue with most of the selections in this thread.

I'd like to throw Steve Sidwell in there for good measure.

His goal was the icing on the cake. After that Barca just gave up. Tbf to Torres, it was his run that gave us the corner that led to Didier's equalizer

Torres was like a weight around the neck until the day he left and he held us back as a team and a club. Pound for pound he's probably the worst signing in not only our history but the history of the PL, only Alexis can make a claim to be as bad/worse in my opinion.

Spot on. And to cap it all we could have had Aguero instead!

Torres is the worst signing in EPL history. Personally I don't think anyone else even comes close.

Sanchez has got to be up there with the worst signings now? 

Didn't cost United a transfer fee but he's picking up something like £400k a week plus huge other bonuses and he's contributed almost nothing.

Apparently his contract is  "£391,000 a week with an extra £75,000 for every game he plays and an annual £1.1m signing-on fee". 

So United are now in a sort of Catch 22 in wanting to justify his massive salary but knowing every time he steps on the pitch and stinks up the joint it's going to cost them another £75k. Then to rub salt into the wound they've got to pay him another £1m every year, for four years. 

So including his £30m transfer fee he's set to cost United around £120m who mainly signed him to get one over on Manchester City. 

 
I’m gutted we haven’t signed Sanchez tbh, I imagine he’d do better here than United. He’ll probably enjoy playing with Hazard.

Which f**king idiot agreed to that last bit? The rest is mental, obviously but that annual signing on fee is just outrageous.

He would have been no better with us or even City, he's completely finished as a top footballer.

You have to figure about 20M as a transfer feel. They easily could have sold Mkhitarian (Sp) for that.

I joked with my Arsenal buddy that Sanchez is so selfish, he would have loved playing in Conte's 8-1-1 last season, he should have come to Chelsea.

Probably because I was big and not as skilled, but could beat the hell out of the midgets like Sanchez, that very few things infuriate me on the pitch as much as a player showing up another player by tossing his hands in the air, rolling his eyes, just simply being a crap teammate. 

I really started disliking Sanchez at the beginning of last season when it became totally obvious he should have been sold and his attitude went in the tank.

 
Excuse my French but every f**king number 9 plus pretty much all the strikers since JFH. What an embarrassment when you look at that list. How can a club fail so badly in signing players in a certain position? 

Other than that selling KDB infuriates me to this day. I would go as far as saying he is the best player in the league so it does hurt imagining what he could have done for us.

Sanchez is meant to be one of the reasons for the dressing room disharmony as other players think they should be on the same wage.
