First away of the season for me this Saturday, can't wait :smile: ! Just wondering where our fans generally drink before the game?

 
Which is closer to Selhurst Park, Selhurst or Norwood Junction? Is Selhurst Park easy enough to find from Norwood Junction?

Cool. I read that Thornton Heath has a few pubs which are generally popular with away fans. I'm think of heading there as there's a direct train from Clapham where I'd be passing through.

Have a look on Google maps mate. I don't know how to post images so can't but basically there are 3 stations and they are all pretty much equidistant from the ground.

Where did you see that mate? I'd rather go to that William Stanley place, looks a lot better than the 2 pubs in Thornton Heath.

Also I know last year some met in Croydon so I wonder if that might happen again.

haha I ment for my group of mates. We might be forced to take the Thornton Heath train. William Stanley does look like the best shout, so we will probably end up there anyway

 
Anyone else going? Which watering hole will you be visiting en route to Selhurst?

I'm still waiting to hear if I have a ticket for this from a mate - either way i'll probably go to the pub before/after as I live nearby. 

Last year I was in the Railway Telegraph pub I think - where you thinking of going Celery?

Is that by Thornton Heath? I'm gonna go to the William Stanley most probably by Norwood Junction. Seen on Twitter that some are going to the Porter & Sorter by East Croydon, I've gotta go there anyway to get to Norwood Junction. So will see what it's like there first and then decide.

Yeah it was right by Thornton Heath. I live nearer EC so that would be ideal if people are going there... what time were you heading down?

Like I said I'm not even sure if I have a ticket but I'll probably head down the pub either way.

Does anyone know of any spares?? (Worth a shot.. haha).

Probably aiming to get to the Porter & Sorter for about 12:30-12:45. Wouldn't mind catching some of the early game at least. Will see what the vibe is in there and then move on at some point probably.

No idea about spares mate sorry. The two tickets I've got are spares themselves!

 
I'll be at Norwood Junction in around half an hour. Which pubs near there will away supporters be in?

 
William Stanley near Norwood junction, and Flora Sandes in Thorton Heath are both Wetherspoons so are cheapest and generally will let both sets of fans in.

If your in Norwood Junction, it's easier to support which are home fans as they're all painted blue and red  :smile:

(For future reference I'd recommend the Porter & Sorter over the pubs in Norwood Junction). Nowhere near as rammed with people and just a nicer pub overall.
