Ruben Neves

Can we hijack the deal? I have no doubt he will become one of the most wanted players in a couple of years time, so we will end up bidding £50m for him instead of £18m now.

 
I think his potential move to Wolves is just work of the agent or third party owner, same as Tervez and Mascherano to Westham years ago. If he has a good season and Wolves get promoted, he will be a 30M player.

It's because of Mendes. Funny story, Mendes is both friend of the owner and the agent of the current manager of Wolves

And by friend of the owner here I mean, advisor of the owner about footballing matters

Thought i would bump this. 

He's been fantastic this season for wolves, made it into team of the season, and has settled into English football nicely. He was always going to be too good for this level, having already captained porto in the champions league, and played for portugal, all before the age of 20.

I think he would be a great addition, and a long term fabregas replacement, for a respectable fee. 

I can see United sniffing around him in  the summer aswell though, especially with Mendes involved. 

We have been linked heavily with him in the past, so I'm hoping he is still on our radar.

 
Can't see Wolves selling him as they have just been promoted. They'll need him to stay up and prove himself at PL level before selling him off

 
Wolves have Chinese billionaire owners and want to break into the top 6 in the prem, no chance are they selling their prized asset.

 
Doesn't Jorge Mendes have a very influential role at Wolves?  Ruben Neves was a highly rated player who could have joined a host of top clubs but ended up joining Wolves for 15 million, that would never have happened without Jorge Mendes

It could be a case of Wolves not having much of an actual say and Jorge Mendes pulling all the strings. If we did want Ruben Neves and it was beneficial to both him and Mendes then I'm pretty sure that deal would be competed without much fuss

 
Another poster mentioned in the Jardim thread that Mendes is quite close to Jardim and Campos

Now if the reports regarding Chelsea looking to bring in both Jardim and Campos are true then we'd obviously be looking at some Mendes clients. Ruben Neves would obviously be one of them
