Sam Hutchinson

Just thought I would let everyone know that Sam is back training with the reserves. He has made a couple appearances this season. I thought he had gone off and retired but apparently he has recovered from the knee injury. It goes without saying that he is a bright prospect, and he did make an impact for one of his 3 appearances getting an assist against stoke back in 2007. Hope he continues in his development. I wonder what his comeback means for Luiz and Bosingwa... ;)

It's a massive shame that he didn't get the opportunity to develop as his talent deserved because we could really use him at the moment...

Imagine him slotting in at right back next to Luiz, Terry and Cole.

Now known as "Boycie" according to Ryan Bertrand, Rhys Taylor and Carl Magnay, who said on Chelsea TV that he wasn't around because he was "out with Marlene".

I hope sam hutchinson comes to top form fast

We need a good right back like him

and what better option than this man ??

My heart really broke when i heard he had to retire , i went around telling my friends the tale of this young lad , i hope he comes back

His orgasmic crosses when he played for chelsea , omfg i love him

Has signed a new Pro contract now with Chelsea! So happy for the lad.

Absolutely brilliant news, chuffed for the fella.

Also, have we perhaps just found our new right back? God I hope so.

Always liked the look of this kid and was very sad when he retired so young so glad to see him back.

Does he have a long term future at the club though?
Great news if he can get back to where he was at, always thought he looked a decent player, although I hope he can get back to where he was at and be one for the future for us, I'm sure for him if he where to go anywhere else the fact he can play football somewhere again, will be fantastic for him, really pleased about this!

Love this news - hope the kid can make it as a footballer. Either way - it looks like the club will support him through thiick and thin - but it'd be great to know he has his health back.

Fantastic news, one that Jose had tipped for the future. So glad that he was kept on at the club in a coaching role and during that time was able to realise he could play again

This is the best news we've had in a month.

Whether he makes it is now back to where he could be is in his hands which is great to see.

Read the article carefully, the lad still has a long way to go before we will know if he can even cope with the rigours of first team football, he's not up to the intensity of training yet that he needs to get to and the knee has gone before when he thought he was over it. I really don't want to be pessimistic and it's brilliant news, really brilliant news that he's back playing at the level he is but we need to be careful not to get too carried away with ideas that he'll soon be in the first team where he belongs.

I really hope this works out.

I think he has a long way to go to get the fitness up that you would need in the first team but i hope he makes it.

I don't know, I reckon he could probably walk into our first team right now with the general form of our defence!
